Sorrin chuckles a bit at Sijach's answer, shaking his head. He can't help but notice the way her eyes catch the moonlight, glinting green in the cold illumination. Such an interesting color... There are few Under Dark that have such green eyes. Perhaps like the plants, they are more common here? His own golden eyes are used to the darkness and he is slowly starting to feel more comfortable as the moon lifts higher into the sky, shortening the shadows and dimming the garden. His wings relax, and he stretches one in a lazy fashion as he listens to her next question. The hurt that such an inquisition would have brought earlier in his life has long ago faded, he quite simply has changed so much that they are but a distant memory to him. No more clear than a stranger in a dream. "Well, everyone has a family at some point I guess... But no, not really. Once they found out I was an alchemist, they threw me out." He answers, looking away for a moment to pick at the sharp edges of a holly bush's leaves. "That was years ago now, and I haven't seen them since."

Jordan
Jordan looks at Will and Callista in surprise, his grey eyebrows rising up over his glasses. It is only then that Jordan recognizes Will as being captain of the guard. "Really! Well how odd... Seems as though there has been a lot of that going on recently, spells not going right, or getting out of hand and all" He says, thinking back to Aurora's miss-summon in the courtyard earlier. "I trust that he said he would look into it? We can't have them just going about all willy-nilly doing whatever they want." Jordan is already growing curious about the matter, as he loves contraptions and a golem is the best kind. Not only is it mechanical, having joints and moving parts and all, it has been given life through magic. His skills as a tinker have led him to help in the creation and maintenance of several of the things, even though that is most often a prevue of the greens.

Sijach looked at Sorrin with concern. She knew what it was like to live without a family, but to have them deliberately get rid of you must be worse. Feeling unwanted by your own family. "It's there loss." she said softly, looking down at her feet. It wasn't often she was openly kind to people, maybe the Head had left her alone long enough for her to calm down a little. Most of the time she was waiting on him hand and foot, but he usually locked himself away in his study for most of the night, doing whatever strange experiments he conducted, likely liked the ones cast on her. She looked back to Sorrin, feeling a happier topic was best to be found. "Are you hungry?" she asked, kicking off the tree.

Will nodded, that was exactly what the man had said, though he doubted much could really be done. If something was wrong with the golems, they would have to go to where they were being made and that wasn't here. He was sure they would go, but the towers were all under attack and couldn't worry about other problems. Witch hunters were everywhere. Some man's miss doings had doomed them all. Some wizard had gone mad and killed hundreds, as such the population had deemed wizards evil and unsafe... it was unjust but how this world seemed to work. "I'm sure he'll do what he can, but it's magic acting amiss. You can't do much to fix that."

Sorrin
Sorrin just shrugs at Sijach as she speaks, not really sure what to do and feeling a bit uncomfortable. Pity or consolation was not something that one encountered in Under Dark very often, and he isn't sure how to deal with it. For Sorrin, it all happened a long time ago, and he can't really blame them for throwing him out. I mean really, I wasn't worth the risk to the rest of the family, was I? I don't know, but it sure seems to bother people up here a lot more than it did back home... He dids his shoe into the gravel of the path, watching the stones scatter until Sijach comes up with something else to say. Looking back up to her, he smiles, happy to be talking about something else. "Starved. You want to head into the kitchen? Hopefully there will still be someone there this late." He asks hopefully, looking forward to having something over head again.

Jordan
Jordan sighs heavily, feeling tired from all of the day's excitement. "Yes... Yes I suppose you're right. Too bad there isn't anything we can do to figure out just what it is that is causing things to go so bad. Magic itself is only a tool, there must be something that is causing it to change." He says, sounding hopeless as he glances back to the doorway hiding the Master and Aurora, then back to Will and Cal.

Entric looked back down the hall in the direction the serpent had come from to be honest he wasn't sure where. "It might have... I really don't know... You can never tell with things in here." he said, putting a hand nervously to the back of his neck. He had lived here for most of his life and nothing had gone wrong. What was happening now? He couldn't help but be nervous not only for his safety but he found himself hoping no harm would come to Sasha more than anything else. It should be understandable, he found he truly liked this girl and that wasn't a common thing... in fact it had never happened before. "Should we tell the Master?" he asked, the man was supposed to be alerted of anything that happened in the building that was out of the ordinary... Entric was pretty sure this counted.

Sijach gave a little smile, Sorrin obviously hadn't been here long. There were sprites that worked in the kitchens and made any food at all hours of the day or night. If you had to be trapped somewhere this was the best place to be, they made sure to provide for everything. She started walking down the path walking leading into the building. "You really haven't been here long." she said with a little smile. She should be able to guide him around the place, as long as the Head didn't find anything for her to do... it would be nice to have a friend.

"More likely someone." Will muttered, crossing his arms over his chest. He didn't like the idea of someone trying to destroy the tower. Who would do it though? This was their home, they couldn't leave so why make the experience is so horrible. "I hope he can figure out who it is... Honestly though... This is place is bad enough why make it worse?"

Sorrin grins when Sijach takes notice of his lack of knowledge. "Yeah, well not very long at all..." He replies, breathing out a sigh of relief as they pass under the arched doorway, feeling much more at ease to have something over his head again. Even in the dark it's strange not having something over your head... I'd love to stretch my wings a bit, but not out there... Oh no. Never. He shakes his head at his own thoughts, re settling his wings on his back as he follows Sijach down the hallway. I"Guess I'm still just trying to figure this all out. Seems like you've been here long enough to know the ins and outs, any hints?" He asks, feeling a bit more conversational now that there is a roof securely over his head.

Jordan sighs, shaking his head. "Yes, I suppose you're right. Only a person with a significant amount of power and skill would be able to make things this bad. I would bet it is someone allied with the witch-hunters, yet still skilled in magic... The tower has many enemies, yet there would be relatively few who would fit both of those requirements." Pausing to think, he pushes his glasses further up his nose. Another idea crosses his mind, and he starts with the suddenness of it. "Beyond that, to have such a strong effect here, they would have to be in the tower. Who here would be willing to risk their own lives to see the tower destroyed?"
