Rabbitkit pawed at her mother's belly and drank some of Shadowheart's milk. She squirmed around and soon fell asleep next to her littermates.

Shadowheart's orange gaze swept across her kits; she then began to groom each of them.

"Dovestar," said Shadowfire, padding up to his leader.

JaggerClaw came into the camp with a small mouth full of prey. She quickly set a few pieces down in the kill pile and walked and grabbed a small mouse and went to the queens den. "Dinner!" she announced with a muffle and walked into the den. "here you are ShadowHeart." she announced and set the mouse next to the nursing queen.

"Yes?" Dovestar mewed.

"Thank-you!" Shadowheart purred, narrowing her eyes contently. "I know kitting seems such a lazy thing to be doing, but it really does take up a lot of my energy." Shadowheart rubbed her cheek across Riverkit's forehead.

JaggerClaw purred in satifaction with her praise. "It's no problem really, anything to keep me from becoming and medicince cat or something." she joked. Because of her bad eyes she was worried that DoveStar may make her an elder extremly early or maybe a medicine cat.
