Jordan took a step back. "You're kidding." She shook her head, sighing. "I don't know. Show me around more first, I want to know what a runner does."

He nodded, and walked closer to the wall.

Jordan followed a few steps behind, pushing her hair out of her face with a grim look.

As they reached the wall, Kelvin pointed towards the opening that opened to a Maze," Of course, that's the Maze. Only Runners are allowed to be there. They come back every night before the doors close, but if they do not, Grievers will get them." He paused, as if expecting a question.

Jordan nodded slowly. "Grievers. Something tells me they arn't your best friends."

Jordan nodded. "Okay. I think I've got it. So pretty much what you're saying is that every day teh doors open, Runners go out, Runners come back, doors close, Grievers come out. Right?" She cocked her head slightly, biting her lip.

" Runners go in during day. They come back at the end.. Grievers come out at night. If Runners or any Glader unfortunate enough to be out there is Griever food." He concluded.

Kuda smiled at Carter. "Well then lets go see her!" Seeing that Kelvin had already helped her out of the box and was showing her around. She went over to them, smiling and cheerfully holding out her hand to Jordan. "Hello shank-I mean, Greenie! What's your name? My name's Kuda!"

Jordan raised an eyebrow questioningly, shaking Kuda's hand gingerly. "Er, I'm Jordan." She mumbled, crossing her arms over her stomach uncomfortably.
