((Yeah, snowystar, accepted.))
Akito rolled his eyes at Deade, who had entirely misinterpreted the meaning of his stare. He was simply annoyed. He got off the old recliner, the chair creaking, and went into the attic of the old cabin, which was cold and very creaky. But it was practically the flock's shrine to finding out everything they could about the school and what they were up to. Akito had lifted a laptop from a house he'd robbed, and had a hacker put wireless untrackable internet on it while they had been in NYC. He sighed and sat the thing on his lap, and sunk against the attic wall, turning it on and letting the fan heat his legs. There was other miscelleneous stolen equipment around him. A radar for one, and that was real easy. He'd picked it up at some old auction, for like, twenty dollars. The fool selling it had no clue how much it was worth fixed up, which was exactly what Akito did to it when he bought it. He'd always been great with technology. There were also books on shelves all around the attic, on every subject you could think of, especially science. There were newspapers in crates lined up against the wall, chronologically and seperated into Categories. There was even a handful of newspapers where his own flock had made the cover of New York Times. That was when they had lived in the city. They had moved to this shack, maybe when Alice was about three. He brought up the internet, and looked for his Inside Contact in the school. His best friend, Markus, had been trapped while they were trying to escape. The weird thing about Markus is, the avian is like a living computer. He's got no computerized parts, he's one hundred percent human, but the guy's got the Internet in his brain. Unbeknownst to the scientists, stupid humans. Give someone a formula to mix DNA up and they think they can rule the world...techinically, they can, but not while Akito was watching.
Markus' MSN contact quickly became green, and words appeared on the screen almost instantly. Akito! Man, are you okay!? How's Alice? Everyone else doing okay?
Akito typed back. We're all doing fine. Alice found a baby squirrel that's going to die, but she doesn't believe me, so we're going to have some things to talk about tomorrow morning..., he typed, making the annoyance and slight sorrow evident in his words. He knew Markus would know how he was feeling.
Oh...yeah, that's always hard. So, guess what the Scientists just hauled into the dog crate across from me yesterday? Markus typed. Akito could practically hear the smug smile on Mark's face. That could mean only one thing. A girl. Akito smiled at Mark's words, and began typing back rapidly. Lol. A girl, right?
Lol, dude, how'd you know? Man, Akito, she is sooo pretty. No, wait, forget pretty. The girl is gosh-darned gorgeous. She's got dark violet eyes. Violet man! Like, purple!
Lol. You have it bad, my friend. Is she nice? Did she talk to you? What's her name? Is she avian? Akito typed back.
She is so nice! Well, I think she is, we didn't talk much, but I can tell. She said her name is Violet. Isn't that weird, she's got purple eyes and her name is Violet? And you know what else, here's the bad news, buddy. She wasn't created to be fourteen years old. She was born in another School, fairly close to your beloved New York City, I think, I can't remember what state the blasted thing is in. The School is in some town in Ohio. She said there's tons of things like her over there. They mostly make mermaid-type things, which is what she is. They're apparently more advanced than the School I'm in, because she's got wings when she doesn't have a tail, and when she's got a tail, she doesn't have wings. Her hair is this bright pink color, dyed that way because shampoo companies have discovered us and will only keep quiet if the Scientists force us to test out their products. Which is why my hair is currently some kind of mahogany brown. I'm kinda liking it, actually.
Akito laughed out loud. Markus usually had bleached blonde hair, and he almost couldn't imagine Mark with dark brown hair. So what else are those nut-jobs working on? You don't know if they are working on some new avain-killing machine?
I'm not sure...there was talk about some sort of Siren, down in Lab 402...but, honestly, I don't know if they can manage that. Gosh, I sure hope not, or you're a goner, Kito. You've always been a sucker for a pretty face. Markus said sarcastically. Sirens were nothing against Akito. He never liked a girl unless he wanted to, he wasn't going to be fooled into it by some fantastical singing voice. You see, but there's a problem. The scientists are going to make her almost indestructable, or so I'm told, and she's supposed to be a real kiss a** Lots of begging for mercy and stuff, and they know that you always give that. Mercy. I don't think they're gonna do it. Oh! Another thing. Dragons. Apparently the Scientists are feeling a little medival. But the only thing I heard about that was it was getting tossed around at a staff meeting. Ooh, hey man, Scientist coming, gotta go. Markus' MSN person went red again.
Akito didn't bother to say bye. He knew Mark would say hi the Violet for him, even if Akito didn't tell him to. Looks like Mark liked this girl bad.
Alice's room was right next to the living room, so Kat or Aiden might have heard her murmuring and singing softly to the baby squirrell. "It's okay baby. I don't have a Mommy either. Me and Akito will be your Mommy," she said softly.
I will always be thankful for chickensmoothie and awesomesauce for cultivating in me a love for collaborating with others to create something great. This community has always been and will hopefully continue to be amazing! Young little RPers that are just starting out, my advice to you is KEEP GOING! As you mature, so will your writing, I know that roleplaying did wonders for mine, even though I was terrible when I first started. Keep on keeping on, chickensmoothie! Also staff if possible please never delete my account because i love to get back on and read what was once long ago lol
