I bit my lip slightly and looked at her. "I really am sorry, with all my heart. You liked him first..." I murmured, then looked up at the ceiling. Guilt had weighed down my shoulders since then, but Aaron made me...happy. Was that selfish? "I just feel like a jerk for taking him."

[Aven]

I shook my head quickly. "Tammi," I said, sighing. "You and him were supposed to be together."

I looked at her and blinked, slightly confused. "What...do you mean?" I asked slowly.

I looked down. "I'm sorry, I was a spy and I was sent to destroy you and Aaron's relationship."

I shook my hand. "Nothing. I just meant...ah, nevermind."

My eyebrows furrowed slightly. "What do you mean? C'mon Bridget, please tell me?"

I shrugged. "I just...I don't think things would work out for us."

"Why not though? You're smart, pretty, funny, awesome...his and mine's best friend. So why not?" I asked, feeling weird for talking about my boyfriend like this.

I shrugged lightly. "I dunno..."

I sighed slightly and looked up at the ceiling for a moment, thinking. When I was done, I looked back down at her. "Well Jayce is pretty crazy about you."
