Ruby glared at Ice's fastly advancing back. She galloped faster, but knew she wouldn't beat Ice. So she stretched out and galloped for the sheer pleasure of the wind whistling through her mane.

Ice lpt into her top gear, whittling over the earth and neighing with the sheer joy of it

Ruby echoed her neigh, leaping over a burnt log and landing perfectly. She smiled, whinnying again.

Ice sailed over a fallen and charred tree, pausing to rear for a moment before plunging onwards

Ruby smiled. She carried on after the now grey horse. They really should have gone in the river earlier... Oh well.

Ice flew onwards, not caring about the ash that now covered her. all she cared about was the thriil of running and the pounding of her hoves and the air that carresed her and teased her with its secrets, if only she go faster

Ruby galloped as hard as she could, as if she was being chased. She felt completely elated, and wanted to run until she couldn't walk another step.

Ruby swerved to avoid the log, hooves sweeping up ash. She sneezed, stumbling slightly before racing on.
