While the Maned Wolf isn't related any member of the Vulpes family it also isn't a true wolf*.
They split from the wolf lineage millions of years ago and while they may have had similar ancestors as the wolf millions of years ago they aren't true wolves ago.

I'm hoping to go wolf hunting, though not shoot any until I'm older and can get a license. My dad's friend goes wolf hunting every now and then, he might take me with. Of course, not endangered species - that would be poaching. Around here they are over populated.

It would be fun because it's hunting. Huning is always fun, xD It's hard to understand if you're not a hunter though.

Now, beforew you ask, I joined here because I do support protecting wolves. From extinction. Right now, they're no where near extinction.

I'm an animal enthusiast but I dont pour all of my effort into saving animals that dont need saving - aka, the grey wolf. I'd love to gut one and study the insides, see whats in there first hand. No amount of studying or picture proof could compare to the hands-on experience! <3

Because its legal. c: and its not disgusting, thank you very much. I understand that you have an opinion on the matter, as everyone has the right to have, but you should word it in a politer manner so that hunters, people like me, dont get offended / upset due to those immature types of comments.

Of course I wouldn't understand. But, I just can't stand wolves (Or basically ANY animal) being hunted.
