Calyx shifted until her head was in his lap, looking up at him curiously. "You mah pillow," She said, then paused at the sound of someone knocking on the door. "Were you expecting anyone?"

Kaire shook his head, "No..." he muttered and listened towards the door to some silent voices. He gently tapped her shoulder for her to sit up. He stood up and walked towards the window and peeked out. "Damn!" he whispered in shock and stepped back, "Why the hell are they here?!" he added. He looked back at her, "If you don't want to die or taken away from me, do exactly as I say!" he whispered with slight bit of fear in his eyes.

An inspector tapped their foot on the ground impatiently, raising his hand to knock on the door again.

Calyx bit her lip, a confused look on her face. She stood up obediently, then stiffened at the look in his eyes and the warning he gave. "W-What.?"

[ping.]

A second inspector sighed in annoyance, leaning on the side of the house. "Who do they think they are? Making us wait like this?.." He grumbled, shaking his head. He crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.

Kaire stepped slowly towards her, "The inspectors. They kill or take away a human if they are not trained, now do as I say for now," he said. His eyes were filled with worry and fear mixed together, he could stand the thought of his Calyx being killed or taken away from him. He then looked towards the door and slowly stepped towards the door, waiting for her reply.

"My gawd, finally." The inspector let out a dramatic sigh, then looked the vampire up and down. "Where is your slave? Why is it not opening the door you you?"

Kaire put on an expressionless face, "I thought that the inspectors would like me to answer questions about my pet before examining her," he said wisely as he began to persuade them. His eyes were still and narrowed like a trickster fox.

The inspector paused, not expecting him to come up with an explanation so fast. A plausible one, at that. "Very well. ;3 Let us in,"

Calyx was snuck up to her room, quickly pulling on some decent clothes; some jeans and a plain shirt. She hurried down the stairs and resumed her place, biting her lip uncomfortably.

[ping.]

The second inspector frowned slightly and shrugged, gazing over at Kaire. He narrowed his eyes and stood up straight, waiting to be let inside.

Kaire nods and opened the door widely for them. His eyes stained on them as they stepped in. He walked over to Calyx and looked back at them, "This is my pet, Calyx. She is very well behaved as you may see. She is very obedient and follows all my orders," he said. His eyes flickered down at Calyx, "Calyx? Get me a drink please," he asked. He wanted them to fall into his scheme and to allow Calyx to stay with him.
