Chris couldn't help but let out a small wince, "Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be that good at staying alive. Don't make it your mission to help me - make it your mission to help yourself. We should both try to stay alive as long as possible. Who knows - maybe we can find a way to take down the Capitol while we're in the arena." he said with a shrug, even though he knew it was useless. The Capitol had all twelve districts at their mercy, and that was why all of them were here, getting ready to kill each other.

He sat on the ground with a sigh, burying his face in his hands. "This whole thing is just so messed up. I wish none of us had to die on live television. I mean, I never really enjoyed watching the games, even before I got picked. What's so fun about kids killing each other?"
