The air is cool even in a hot summers day if you've lived well enough. Fire mite burn and knives slide through flesh. But when darkness consumes it seams that everything stops.

Embrace is the kind of cat who sticks to the edge of a crowd, watching everybody converse as she just listens in and sits quietly. She has only a few other cats she will talk to and usually justs let's them talk and give her opinion only when it's needed. Although when she's in the right mood she'll be the life of the party-well as long as she's on the side lines. When she does talk along side with her friends she will most likey huff and walk off due to her short temper. All in all she's either a shy and quiet type or a tempermental and blow up in your face type of cat.
Cat's Back-story:
((I usually write from a point of view so, this one will be from Embrace's point of view.))

Yeah, most cats live in the life of luxury. Sleeping by the fireplace, eating all that gormete cat food, getting pampered by older ladies. They've got it easy. I can still remember when I was like them. I was actually taking a short nap by the fire since it was somewhere below zero outside that winter. My owner came up to me and distured my sleep, making me hiss at the middle aged lady. She just glared at me and kept me in her somewhat wrinkled hands. I calmed down after a few moments, suddenly getting curious at why the lady was picking me up. She started bringing me to the door and then proceding to take me outside to her running machine. She tossed me harshly in the back and plopped down into a seat in front of me. I remember growling at her and snuggling into the lace coat that she kept on me at all times. I placed my head down onto the leathery seat and tried keeping calm as the machine sparked to life and started moving. The rattling movement of the machine caused the silver, chain like strings that were clipped onto my paws and tail to start jingling and clinking against each other. I made grumbling noises and waited unpatiently for the machine to finally jut to a stop. I gave a short nod of approval to my owner as she came and picked me up from the back seat. We were nowhere near any place and I looked around quickly in shock. I knew what was happening, this kind of thing happened all the time to bad cats who disobeyed their owners. They got thrown away. And I was ruight the next thing that happened was my owner threw me into the grass, leaving me there to rot as she climbed back into her machine and rattled off. I looked around confused for a second and watched as the lovely old lady drove off, abandoning me on my own. I started meowling uncomfortably, not knowing where to go. I sniffled softly and started walking through the long, pinching grass to look for somewhere to stay. I can remember clearly padding up to a shabby looking house with mildew across the cracks and a few pieces of rotting wood that were starting to fall off. The paint was old and cracked, some sort of dark purple used for the walls. I made a face of discomfort, not liking this messed up house one bit. I padded up the porch and jumped onto the window sill, slipping in through the broken crack of the glass to get into the house. I explored around for a few moments and found a somewhat warmer spot in the freezing house to settle down at. And that's how I happened to find this..magnificent..house to stay at. I still wander around sometimes, getting lost in this maze of a mansion while I'm looking for one of my silver strings. But at least it's a place to stay. Some of my closer friends say that this darker house suits me, my little lace cover up jacket, the silver chain like threads and then the one dark purple necklace that matches my eyes. I think I can see what they mean, yeah I'm a cranky cat, maybe a bit dark at times, but that doesn't mean my house suits me! Ughhhh. Curse these friends of mine.

Cat's Back-story:Her old family had to move and couldn't take her along so they left her at the kitty adoption center to find a new family,a new friend and a new beginning. The center took care of her well but still she missed her old family. But one day she was finally going to leave the center a nice family with a little girl was coming for her the next morning. The girl picked her up but she didn't struggle when she did, the girl looked to her mom and dad and said "I want to name her Scarlet." When Scarlet entered her new home the little girl took her to her room and dressed her up in clothes and accessories. Scarlet's mind swirled with questions, What's going to happen to me?, What happened to my old family?, Am I staying here forever?!. Scarlet just started her new life...
