"That's fine," Dragonclaw mewed, happy he at least had Sandtail now. He sort of liked her, too - he was happy when he was around her. He was never happy around Dustwing, though he thought she was very pretty. He would have to move on. He lay down next to Sandtail and began to fall asleep.

Dustwing purred and lay her head down next to Darkclaw's. She was asleep within minutes.

ShadeStripe began to stir in the den. She streched her long slender legs out and got up from her laying position. She wanted to go out today.She wanted to hunt and explore and run up trees. She was begining to wonder weather having kits was a bad idea. She still felt weak but wanted to run, She still was hungry and wanted to hunt. It had only be a day since her kits were born. How was she going to handle this?!

" How about by the river, lots of juicy voles I bet." Fawnleap replied.

Darkclaw gave her final affectionate lick.

Flamestripe woke next to her. "I can see you want to get out." he purred. "I'll watch the kits, but be back soon 'cause i don't have milk!" He turned and curled around his kits and licked them.

Dustwing's eyes slowly opened, and she was back in the warriors' den next to Darkclaw. She stood up and stretched, then shook the scraps of moss from her pelt.

Sandtail woke and prodded Dragonclaw. "Come on! Moonstar wants us on a hunting patrol with us!"
