I think I've seen, hm, maybe one playthrough?

Seeing the monster creeped me out the first time, so I spent about an hour building a pointless barrier trapping me in a small room with a candle and a dark corner. However, I eventually got bored and went out the way the monster went, only to find: a) there was no monster, and b) the hall didn't lead anywhere. I wasn't sure what to do, so I opened up the Steam browser and looked up a walkthrough on Youtube. I found out what to do, and kept calm and carried on. The water monster part was no fun; I gave up at that point.

However, on my second playthrough of the demo for my friend, I decided to walk up to the monster, and it ignored me and poofed away, so me and my friend were disappoint. I think at the water part I somehow killed the water monster, so I was free to run through and move on to the next area with the second monster. It went successfully.

I just recently finished a third playthrough (but I guess I didn't finish the first yet...), and it was really quickly for my mum.

And WOW, I remember when there were only about 6/7 members in this group, instead of around 35. XD

I've seen a lot of playthroughs for it, but I stick with PewDiePie and Tobuscus because their humor made it better and less scary to watch. After seeing PewDie play custom story after custom story with the Amnesia monster and the water monster, I got quite used to it, but it still didn't stop me from spazzing. It's not the looks anymore, I think, it's just the music and the fact that you can't kill it.

Poofers are very common in the game, usually just something to throw you off your guard and scare you until the real thing to build off false confidence. And you can't kill the water monster, the game just glitches and it disappears. e.e

Though, the demo for Amnesia disappointed me greatly. I thought it would actually have some action in it, as if my game hadn't glitched the wheel/lever then it would have been a breeze. :U

Myself, I go with PewDiePie. From what I've heard, Tobuscus isn't that great, but I dunno.

It'd be fun to be... killed... by the monsters... I guess.

And hm.... apparently you can "kill" the water monster in a way, but I don't know what I did to make it stop. All I did was throw books at it, and eventually it stopped chasing me? I guess it glitched.

The Kaernk can be 'killed' by grabbing a barrel and standing in the water a ways from the monster, then waiting until the Kaernk is 1 splash away before throwing the barrel at it's feet. A sickly yellow splash will occur if this is successful, and the creature will cease to chase you. A crate or box that is bashed repeatedly onto the Kaernk will also accomplish this feat.

*shrugs* But I dunno. Hrrr, I need to get a credit card or something... then Amnesia'll be mine.

Eeyup, it was mentioned in a note. I'm still trying to figure out how to pronounce it myself, but I've taken to pronouncing it along the lines of "care-nk". Wrong or not, whatever.

And now, I'm pretty sure Daniel from Amnesia is my new favourite game character. I feel so bad for him when he dies or something bad happens to him...

I'm gonna go play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness. I've recently gotten back into that game after a couple years of being stuck...
