Gabriel watched the landing, putting on his gas mask and got up from the chair. "My name's Gabriel" he said to Fey, smiling through the gas mask and heading to the gates.
------
Tey'li looked doubtfully at the healer, his expressiom thoughtful. "I don't know" he said "I think we should tell the tribe, prepare for a fight if need be" (( Just checking that you know, Tey'li is the leader of the na'vi))
------
Aadi gave an appologetic look to the girl, grabbed his gas mask and headed off to the gate, slinging his bag over one shoulder.

Alexis kept walking, behind Aadi. She hoped Aysel would follow them. The human base was so huge, and Alexis didn't want to lose one possible friend. Although she had a very extrovert personality, she had very few friends. Not many persons could keep up with her, and behind of all that constant happiness, which she called the mask, she hid her tears and fears. She hated so much being the sunshine and the funny girl for everyone, because she couldn't cheer herself up.
Alexis tried to forget all of that and move on. She quickly grabbed her camera and shot some pics of everything what seemed worth of it. And, of course, a quick portrait of each person around. When they got in the base, she photographed it too. Then she turned to Aadi.
''I'm on project Avatar, to get a Na'vi body. What to do now?'' She asked.

Aadi glanced at the girl, grinning in anticipaion. "Scientist, doctor, linguist to a degree" he said "Anthing on the research side of things." He looked around the human base, marines wondering round everywhere, it was gigantic; it would be so easy to get lost in a place like this.

Alexis smiled. ''So, when we get our bodies? Are you getting an Avatar too? And when are we leaving the base?'' She had a million unanswered questions, but those were the most pertinent by now. While waiting for the reply, she took some more photos to the passers.

Aadi smiled and shook his head. "No" he replied "I'll be staying here most of the time" his smiled turned into a grin "Lucky me. I'm afraid I have no idea when you'll be getting your body, or when you'll be leaving this place"

Alexis raised her eyebrow, but didn't comment anything. Lucky, heh? She knew more than well that it was probably the most dangerous thing she could do in her life, getting an Avatar. But it was the one she wanted more too. She was getting obsessed with the idea. And that was quite terrible. When Alexis got fixed on something, she would do everything to have it.
Half of her knew all of that, but the other half refused to let go. Alexis sighed, but kept on smiling and photographing. That could end very bad, she thought. Oh well. Too late for that kind of reflections. Dr. Augustine stood there, in front of them. Alexis had heard of her many times; she was almost a living legend.
''Ready for the connection, are you?'' Dr. Augustine asked her. Alexis smiled enthusiastically.
''Sure!'' she answered. Dr. Augustine grinned. ''You'll have to wait until tomorrow. Use that time to get used to the surroundings. Here's the key card for your room. See you tomorrow.''
Alexis grabbed the digital key card and waved. At least it would be tomorrow. ''Second floor, room twenty-six!'' she heard the scientist shout behind her, so she nodded and ran to her room.

((Got back from snack

))
Alexis swooped the card over the door's security system. It didn't work at the first try, because her hands were shaking so much she almost let the key card fall. Only at the third attempt the door swung open. Alexis flew into the room, which was small, with a bunk bed on one of the walls, a wardrobe and some shelves. On the bedside table there was a note. Alexis picked it up and read aloud.
Dear,
Welcome to Pandora! I fear I won't have time to visit you on the next weeks, but I believe you can get yourself along with no problems. Ask Dr. Augustine or Dr. Aadi for a map of the ship so you won't get lost. You will share your bedroom with a girl of your age, Aysel. Tomorrow you will have your Avatar. Take care, and most of all, don't do anything reckless!
Love from
Dad.''
Alexis sighed and unpacked her backpack. How re liked her dad! When she finished laying down the clothes, she went to search for Aysel to tell her the news.

Jenn paused with her bag slung over her shoulder, staring with her mouth slightly agape as the collosal entrance loomed over the group. She traced the yawning arch slowly with her eyes, tilting her head as she did so. One of her co-workers nudge her gently and pushed pass her. The mercenary blushed and hurried after him with one last glance upwards, shuddering as she imagined it somehow tumbling down on their heads. She shook her head to clear it of these troubling thoughts and quickened her pace to keep up with the group.
Jenn hissed quietly in frustration when the key card-reader beeped rather obnoxiously as she twisted the handle to find that the lock was jammed. The screen redundantly read: "INVALID CARD". She swiped the useless piece of plastic through the slot to the same result. The shrill, annoying indication continued but did not end this time. She swore and ripped the key card-reader out of the door, flinging it down the hall as far as she could. Jenn jiggled the doorknob yet again. Locked. She sighed in exasperation and gave the door a final kick before sinking to the floor. She drew her knees in to her chest and wrapped her arms around them with her back to the door. The human rested her head against the cold, solid metal of the door and waited.
