There was a silence, an elongated pause; you could hear the pencil sketch the arrow across the drawn bow.

It was white noise in the angel's ears, always there, like the smell of stale cleaning agents in a hotel room. It never ceased, and he learned to block it out. Mainly for comfort- living in a constant fear began to rag on him. Eventually, it reached the point where he did not care, as all people who tried to hunt him were incredulously stupid. They assumed that angels were just like them, save that they couldn’t feel, or breathe, or something. The humans were always quick to assume that the angels were either higher than them (in terms of an angel who had been heaven-sent) or lower than them (in terms of an angel who had been brought from below) in ideals of social standings. The thought that they were equal beings never seemed to cross any minds; any minds that, however correct, could not be heard.

The angel really should've taken into consideration that being preoccupied in his own thoughts was dangerous.

His posture arched as he screeched, sonnet of weakness drooling from his mouth. An arrow tipped with blood, backed with the feather of a dove; an arrow laced with fear, backed with the arm of an archer- an arrow that could take down an angel, an arrow that could take down anything but who made it. Lips curled, one at a time, to a smile that even a demon would shy away at was what he greeted the hunter with as he timidly stepped from behind.

“One step closer,” he screamed again, another arrow, in the shoulder. He licked his lips, so slowly, to enunciate the pain. “I dare y-you, little human, wouldn't you co-“
One more arrow, a few spry inches from his "heart's" cavity. “-me... Come c-c-closer, pl-pleassse...”

The man walked forwards, sure that he had stopped the angel; in the midst of his excitement (An angel! Could you believe?!) he did not notice one thing. One small, tiny, minuscule detail. But that detail is very small and probably not important.

“Hu~uman,” He was whispering now, leaning closer, white robes soaked with golden sap. “Can't you remember the dove you take feathers from?” The angel snickered, loudly, scaring off the game; he almost sounded intoxicated. The other angels, though, had been scared off long ago.

The hunter's face contorted, alive with shock, fear melting down his face and resounding at his feet.

“Ca-atch me!”

Everyone in the class was silent as the principal entered the room.
"I am sorry to say, but Ms.Violet was found dead last night. They found her buried with a wound to the neck." Everyone stared at the principal, some with tears in their eyes, except for me. My gaze was on the kid next to me, Mark. It was easy to tell his sadness was faked, but no one paid attention. Mark wasn't wasn't a bad kid, had good friends, but was convinced the teacher hated him, and hated her back. The bell for lunch rang. Everyone moved on sluggishly, all except for Mark. He seemed to move with a bit of hurry. I caught up to him and pulled him over before he could escape.
"Mark..." I didn't even finish. The guilt was visible on his face.
"I overheard you." I said
"You better not lie..." Marks look of guilt disappeared into a mix of panic and anger.
"You can't tell anyone! No one will know! It was an accident! She was making my life hell anyway! I...I...!" Mark whispered harshly, trying to find words to explain himself. I wasn't sure what to do. Before I knew it my hand was on my shoulder and I drew a shaky breath.
"Your secret is safe..." I didn't even finish before he was hugging me and was off to see his friends.
"... for now." I whispered the rest of my sentence.I shook my head. Of all things to get tangled in, I got murder. Of all things. Even pressure to drink alcohol seemed way better then being an accessory to murder.

Me xxXXxx My Grandma

She came down yesterday, with my grandfather. I was say upstairs, on my laptop. I heard the car pull up, I heard them knock on the door. When the door was opened, I heard my mother say,

"What are you doing here? Cafe M is closed!" It was in a joking tone. I didn't hear what the reply was, but my mother continued. "If I'd have known, I'd have cooked you something." Again, I couldn't hear the reply, but I guessed that they were walking through the house and going out the back door into the garden. So I looked out of my window.

I was right; they were outside, my grandparents holding shopping bags full of food. I didn't often see them because they had move to the coast just before Christmas. So I went downstairs, and outside.

It was a sunny day. They were talking. At the time, I didn't know what it was about. My grandfather offered me some chicken, and I ate it. Then I was sent to get my sister. I did so, and once she was outside, my grandfather began to speak.

"Grandma got some bad news today." I was nervously waiting. I knew that she had had a doctors appointment. "She has cancer."

Then my Grandma continued. "I'm having it out in five weeks."

My grandma had cancer.

This girl.. to describe her, you might say quirky, bubbly, or even shy. But in my eyes she is always beautiful. I want her to notice me, but I'm too shy to walk up to her. And I can't tell her my feelings yet, because really, who walks up to a girl and says "Hi, I like you. Love me!" I love her because of who she is. She's shy, but quirky. She's a dancer, but loves video games. She plays piano, but she participates in shooting games. Okay, so maybe airsoft isn't too shy, but really. She's perfect, and most of all, she understands me and I love her for that.

THE QUIRKY GIRL

There's this guy, Tony, to be exact. He has the most perfect eyes, voice and personality. But I'm too shy to tell him that. I really want him to like me back, but you can't force a guy to like you.. can you? Never mind that, he loves video games, and he has a really good sense of humor. However, he's quite shy, and so am I, so it's kind of hard for me to tell him I like him. If he likes me, he'll tell me.. at least, he might.

It was the night of Halloween. Student Council had their Mystery Party going on, whilst the others waiting to get into Student Council were having a normal Halloween party. I had to go as the gingerbread man, kind of embarrassing, but what else would I dress up as-- a cowboy? No way.

She dressed as an owl, not head and all, but the wings and a little dress. It was orange and black, black stripes on the legs.

Each of us were in a line, some of us explained why we chose each costume, etc, some saying "because I liked it, duh," but she chose to say that she was originally going as Hermione from Harry Potter, but as she wanted to try something new, she chose the magnificent animal-- the owl. It was quite pretty, if you ask me.

So, Tony dressed up as the gingerbread man. It was quite creepy, but he finally chose to take it off, which comforted me quite much.

There were these two kids, they were blonde, one named Aubrey and the other's name I don't remember at all. They were dressed up as a cat and a mouse, with moldy cheese that no one could stand being around-- except for the mouse and cat girls.

So we played some games, me losing in both of them, and the same with him-- he's not much of a fan of games that aren't a type of video games.

Time went past, and we all went to eat at a long, horizontal table. My best friend Lenzy across from her crush Heath, and me across from Tony. Heath and Tony shared some earphones and looked at some video that I couldn't see very well.

"Oh, are you watching that cartoon?" Lenzy asked Heath.

"Yeah, it has some swearing in it," Heath answered, grinning at her.

Swearing? In a cartoon? Must not be a real cartoon, just some weird parody video.

All of a sudden, Tony squirted his drink at me.

A girl handed me a napkin, and I darted to the bathroom as fast as I could.

Gah, why did I do that? I wasn't paying attention, I-I must have spilled it on her when I wasn't watching!

That was one of the most STUPIDEST things I've done on accident. If only I could tell her I didn't mean it.

The Halloween party was done, everyone collected their bags and sped off to trick-or-treat, except for me and Lenzy. We were going to trick-or-treat together, just not when they did.

"Do you think he meant to spill that on me?" I asked Lenzy.

"No, of course not! He likes you, he acts different around you, I can just tell he does!" Lenzy said with a slight smile, but it felt as if she was slightly jealous-- only a little, but Heath and her liked each other anyways.

"Are you sure?"

"Positive."
