"flame! wait! i-im sorry about earlier. can you forgive me?" she called after him.

Flame looked back at her and turned around. "Yeah, let's just forget the whole thing ever happened. It's just that I just met you and it would be weird being mates with a stranger, wouldn't you agree?" He asked, his mind in a different place from his body.

[Coopers Cave]

"i wasnt meaning it to be like that! it was what we used to do in my old pack. we welcome newcomers by licking their cheek. it was normal! but i see it wasnt meant to be like that here." she ran off, sobbing.

Flame looked after her and shrugged. He hated dramatic wolves. All he had said was his thoughts and this fae took it the wrong way for sure. He never should have turned around. He never should have talked to her. He never should have come to the pack.

[Coopers Cave]

she stopped crying after a few minutes. she started to run back to where he was, to find that he was gone. "im so sorry..." she murmured. she never wanted this to happen. he was the first wolf to carry a full conversation with her. the first wolf to notice she had feelings.

Moments later, Flame returned to his kill. He ate so much that he silently laid down and fell asleep in seconds. His dream? He had none. All he did was close his eyes and let his souls wander.
