Finchclaw was about to continue, but his voice trailed off as the she-cat rubbed her head on his side. He softly purred and rubbed her back. He was still a little shooken, but Crystalnose was clearly irresistable.

Crystalnose looked up at him, " I've liked you for a long time.... I thought it was time you knew." She purred and licked his cheek.

"Re-Really?" Finchclaw was a dark, secretive warrior, and never thought much about having any admirerors. "If I told you what I did, you would never forgive me," he meowed, sorrowfully. "I'm a dangerous tom, and I do dangerous things. You're a very nice and beautiful she-cat, and I sort of like you too, but you shouldn't like me... For your own good."

Crystalnose sighed, "Finchclaw.... It's to late. I don't want to like some other tom. I wan to like you." She said and looked away, tears in her eyes.

[Chickenpaste]

Finchclaw couldn't stand the sight of tears. "No... I'm sorry, it's just..." He sighed. He didn't want to break her heart, but he had to tell her the truth. Maybe then, he thought, she'll understand that she can't trust me. "I tried to murder my own siblings, when they were only kits," he began. "I tried to drown one of them in the storm. I shared tongues with a jaguarundi once when I was lost. I killed a lost she-cat from outside the Clan."

Sharkpelt yawned and stretched looking around for something to do.

Ebonysong muttered in her sleep and curled into a tighter ball and muttered in her sleep.

Polarkit tossed a moss ball back and forth with her brother in the med cat den while he sat in his nest there.

Crystalnose shoved Finchclaw, "I know. I know. I do know. And I don't care. Okay? I don't. I love you. Is that what you need!? The total truth!? It doesn't even matter to you though! You won't give me a chance! It's like you want to close me off." Tears ran down her face. The pretty she-cat ran off, towards the raging ocean surf.

Finchclaw growled as she ran off. She doesn't get anything, he thought. She's insensitive, over-reacting, and completely broken apart. She really needs to calm down and use her commonsense. She's stupid if she thinks I meant what she thinks I did. He spat on the ground and walked off. "Now I really have no reason to live," he hissed. Suddenly, he smelled the familiar scent of other cats. He looked down the hill to the camp. Again, he felt the mix of rage, obsession, passion and annoyance swell in his heart. Just this once, he vowed. Never again. He quietly stalked through the island brush, ready for his next victim.

Crystalnose flung herself into he water. She had a fear of water. Her heart pounded, as the waves crashed around her. Tears blended with the tangy water.

Robinwing found her son. "Finchclaw? What wrong?" she asked worriedly.

Finchclaw stopped at the sound of his mother. He slowly stalked around to face her, making sure that what he heard was true. His cold, hungry eyes stared at for a second, before her soft expression brought back his sanity. "M..Mom?" he whimpered, tears swelling in his eyes.
