Anna looked up to see a sweet little Petilil. Leilei jolted up and stared at the wild pokemon. Eagerly, the Leaul looked at Anna, feelign the urge to battle. Anna felt pity for the Petilil at first, then decided that the wild pokemon would make a good, and cute, pokemon to add to her team. Leilei leapt out of Anna's lap and stared at the Petilil. Since Leilei was already out of her pokeball, Anna felt no need to call on her. Anna rose to her feet, a sudden wave of nervousness rushing through her. It was her first battle. What was she supposed to do? Just call out an attack, Anna she told herself, shaking slightly. "Leilei, use Scratch!" She called out in the midst of her thoughts. Oh no, what If I didn't do it right? What if the Petilil runs away? Anna paniced, biting down on her lip.

As the command was called, Leilei sprang forward and reached out to scratch the Petilil. Leilei was even more nervous than Anna and was determined to do exactly as she was told. Her gaze never left the wild pokemon as she jumped back. Leilei didn't know wether she had actually succeeded the attack or not, but she was still mildly proud of herself for obeying her new trainer.

Flare is a very laid back Torchic. He cries when he doesn't get what he wants sometimes and acts like a baby. He loves to battle though and gives it his all when he does. He likes to keep things that are shiny and blue, if you try and take them from him, prepare to be pecked to death. Not literally. Flare is a very weird Torchic, he loves to skate on ice, even though he's a fire type. If he gets a chance to interact with ice he loves to take the chance. He hates to see any other person or pokemon sad and tries to comfort people. Getting lost is one of his specialties as well.

Notable personality traits:
He is very calm at first glance. He can be very irritable at times, depending on the situation. He thinks about situations that are happening before doing anything rash. When battling he tries to create a strategy that is at least 3 steps ahead of his opponent, it doesn't always work sometimes. So in the case he tries to make sure he thinks of at least 2 different strategies the opponent can do and then tries to find a counter. He hates when people make fun of things. He can be very laid back, but also very high strung. He likes to push himself to the max including with training but tries not to hurt his pokemon to where they hate him. Just as much as they can go as well. He hates to admit defeat.

General personality:
He is very laid back like Flare. He enjoys laying down somewhere and watching the clouds go by. He can be found asleep on a grassy hill if he's not battling, training, or doing something worth doing to him. He is very competitive and loves to battle, well it just depends on his mood and the weather. Literally. If the weather is down, so is his mood, if it's good so is his mood. He likes it better when it's nice out, though he likes Winter as well. Summer and Winter are his favorites. He is much like Flare, not liking it when people or pokemon are sad. He tries to help people who need it if he can. He hardly backs down and sometimes goes overboard on what he is doing, thus causing things to happen, usually not good. He trains as much as he can and tries his best to make sure his pokemon is in the best health and happiness. He loves Flare to death.

Taillow chirped again, nudging her gently with his head. He particularly liked this trainer and hoped that, perhaps, she would befriend him and allow him to travel with her.

"Comb!" the Combee buzzed as the small flames hit her wing and head. Fluttering downwards quite feebly, the Combee made an attempt to fly away from the Charmander.

The Diglett cried out in slight pain as the Totodile used Scratch. Then, tunneling under it, the Diglett used Dig.

Petilil blinked in mild surprise, and made an attempt to dodge, but failed. Returning the attack, the wild Petilil used Absorb on the Leaul.

A wild Usae fluttered into a tree near a girl with a Herballa on her shoulder. Curiously, the little bird flew down and soared alongside the girl and her Pokemon.

Erin walked down the path, Amazon nibbling her ear gently. Suddenly, another small bird Pokemon fluttered down, and Erin recognized it as an Usae. It was very similar to a Taillow, but it was a little bigger, with slightly different wings, a different tail and, instead of navy feathers, it had brown ones. "Hi," Erin grinned at the bird, "Wanna battle?" And with that, the Usae nodded, then used Peck on Amazon, who returned the attack with a Razor Leaf. The two small birds were battling it out, right in the middle of the path. "Try using Peck!" Erin said to Amazon, who went in for the attack, but was knocked off-course as the Usae flew downwards and used Sand Attack, causing puffs of dirt to flurry up around the two birds. The battle went on, Amazon using either Peck or Razor Leaf and the Usae using Peck or Quick Attack. Eventually, the two tired, and the Usae gladly accepted the safety of a Pokeball that Erin had in her hand. The little Pokemon disappeared in a flash of red; the Pokeball wobbled, then went still, meaning that the Pokemon was now hers. "That was great, Amazon!" she beamed, stroking the green feathers as they continued on their way. The route wasn't very long, so Gainsboro City was just about visible in the distance.

A smile appeared on her lips once she saw the Taillow nudging her. An idea popped in her mind, but Remi wasn't sure would it work or not. Anyway, she had to try it, whether it failed or not. After all, who knows when she would have another chance like this, to capture a Taillow that easily? Most of the Taillow in the wild had huge guts, and would still continue to battle, even if it was hurt greatly. But this one seemed friendlier than most Taillow, and there was more of a chance he would accept her request. "Would you like to travel with me?" she asked politely, her head tilted slightly to the left.



Daciana narrowed her eyes slightly at the Combee and nudged her trainer's arm, resulting in him waking up. Once he saw that his starter attacked a Combee, a female, to be precise, his grin widened and he patted Daciana's head. "You read my thoughts, Daci. Use Ember once again!" he commanded, and the Fire Lizard Pokemon gladly obeyed her master's wishes. Bright orange flames burst out of her mouth, aiming at the fluttering Combee.

Taillow nodded vigorously, nudging her again.

Startled, the Combee tried to regain control as it fluttered feebly, attempting to use Gust on the Charmander; it was a weak attempt, and the Combee ended up fluttering down towards the ground.

Remilia smiled and took a Pokeball from her belt and put it in front of the Taillow, giving him an encouraging nod. "Touch it when you're ready," she said.



Vukasin gave a wide grin to Daciana and fished out a Pokeball from his belt, ready to catch the Combee once Daci weakens it a little more. Said Fire Lizard jumped on the Combee's back and hit her with a Scratch attack; not quite strong enough to knock her out completely, but not weak enough to do no damage.

As soon as the Pokeball was held out, the Taillow nudged his head against it, giving a small chirp as it disappeared in a rush of red light.

The Combee yelped one last time, very low on energy, using a very feeble Gust once more.

When his attack landed, Jagger jumped back to ready himself for another strike. However, the Diglett vanished into the earth. "Careful," Lucy noted. Diglett were fast creatures when it came to tunneling, so there was no telling where it would pop back up at. There could even be a huge tunnel system under their feet right now and they didn't even know it.

Even when cautioned, Jagger didn't show any signs of caring. Even as the Diglett dug beneath his feet, Jagger didn't know until it was too late. Once again the Totodile was attacked from below and flung upwards. He cried out this time, but still attempted to keep his excitement. "Try Water Gun this time," Lucy suggested. If the Diglett wanted a challenge, here it was. Tottering backwards, Jagger took a few surprise steps forward as he spewed a mouthful of water for the wild Pokemon.

The Diglett was about to use Dig once again, when the Totodile used Water Gun. Engulfed instantly, the Diglett struggled to resurface. When at last it managed to do so, it was quite weak, and made a feeble attempt to use Tackle again.
