I don't have a favourite type of wolf, because there are so many subspecies, but it'd have to be between the Grey wolf (particularly the North American) and the Arctic wolf. They're both such stunning animals. The Alexander Archipelago is also one of my favoured ones.

Did you know you guys have comepleatly changed my opinion on wolf hunting? I used to be like, 'Killing wolves is like being the devil'....Well, you know, comepleatly against it. But know I understand that we need to keep the populations in check, even if it hurts my heart to say so.
And...I still don't get what a wolfiboo is.

As muchas ihate to admit it wolf populations do have to be controlled to stop elk etc from becoming extinct in some states at least. Idont want any wolves suffer from starvation etc.

But it shold be carefully regulated stop populations from going the other way. And done humanely-by 'good' marksemen.
What I do hate however, is hunters being proud of killing wolves, and using pelts, trophies etc (same goes for any animal).
In my opinion hunting of all animals (including fishing) it shold only be done for spiecies best intrests or meat.
Im not against native human races hunting animals for their needs providing its done humanely and the species isn't endangerd or thretened.
Im pretty sure im not a Wolfaboo I do NOT like or glorify wolves-(or any animal) intentionally attacking/killing humans that dosn't help any human or animal.

I know not all extinctions are caused by humans but now-im not sure quite when it started-probably depends on different races and places the vast majority are.
(Im an athiest if anyone was wondering) evolution worked very well untill humans became too overpowering, this planet would be alot better whithout humans!!

I do understand your point of view, but it's perfectly normal for hunters to be proud of killing an animal - whether it be a wolf or a pigeon. [I was so proud of myself when I shot my first pigeon, xD]
It's really hard to understand if you are against that sort of thing though, I know. Just like it's hard for me to understand how people can think so strongly against hunting. Sometimes seeing things the way other people do can be difficult, so you just have to agree to disagree most of the time.

And maybe the planet would be a lot better without humans. No one can really be sure, none of us will know, humans still exist.
And you have to keep in mind that evolution did create humans, as well.

I have decided than when I'm older I am going to rescue wolfdogs and let them have the life of a wolf which they need. :) I want to open a sanctuary with a large open area where I can have a few packs of rescued wolfdogs that will be able to live like wolves and also get the treatment they need. (They will be fixed as I don't want to breed more confused and unnatural animals) :)
