There goes that plan, Alec kicked his feet in the air, completely and utterly out of ideas. This went well, have the girl hit him with her light, forget about Unknown's shield, get transferred to only one arm, have pain increase. Perfect plan Alec, He tug his finger-nails into the skin on the guys tentacle and tried to pull himself up enough to at least have his feet touching something. Not succeeding in that, he could only hang limply from his wrists. He had to come up with something! Getting dropped wasn't really an option, as he'd just get hurt worse then he was now. Lulu is dead, and all you can do is hang here and debate on how not to fall. You are pathetic. Alec bristled at the thought, she was dead. Not coming back, ever. Why was he even taking time to make options any more?
Opting for thinking on his feet, his eyes searched for a branch, or some kind of growth that he could get a foot on. With blood running down both arms it was hard to concentrate though. Every time he spotted some sort of branch or twig he was distracted by a new stream of the scarlet blood rolling down one of his arms. Taking in a large breath Alec pulled himself up enough to sink his teeth into one of Unknown's arms that were gripping his wrist. He didn't pause at the disgusting taste or how horrid it was to be stooping this low, he just reacted.
Concentrate, think of the power. You don't need your eyes if you have your ears. Alec took another breath and relaxed. You've got to do this, for Lulu. And so, thinking of the flames alone he dug his teeth in harder and tried to wrap his legs around Unknown's. Even though he wasn't succeeding in that he felt flames engulf his hands and feet. They grew rapidly upwards and out, though the one thing Alec hadn't thought of was that his hands were inches from his face and the heat was almost too intense for his heat retardant skin.

{ Uh, if you were around Elizabeth -Mine-, Formosa -Adelaide's-, or Zippy's character then the last thing that happened over there was that Liz ran off to Shawn -mine- and Jake -Snow's- characters because Grace -Snow's- wasn't with them. Other then that not sure were you are. x3 Jump in anywhere, Adelaide led Formosa over to me & Abs characters Alec and Lulu/Unknown. :3 Hope that helps a little. }

Unknown focused on the sudden flames that burned the tree is a massive tube of orange that brightened his body with light as though he was a lamp or something. The smoke was worse even for a machine. His brain clouded with smoke that entered his lungs sending his thoughts down a tale spin from it all, and his backup was coughing as he tryed to rid the smoke form his body as it blew around the fire. Too much master. His floating took him back a bit into a few branches for a lingering tree that stabbed straight into his open heart to jerk his stone, and his legs felt the rest for the sticks that stuck out like swords to stab him to death. Stupid forest.
Then as if that be the worset his eyes of purple turned towards Alec to see him now, but his teeth suddenly went straight down into his arm that held him up. His mouth sent out a scream as as well the teeth sank deeper into hsi skin letting his black blood housing his body surface to the wound before bleeding out like a balloon. The pain was unbearing as the fire burned everywhere to him, blood lossing his mind, and his body taking too much pain as he floated kind of hardly against the tree still stuck to him. The only thing that could calm him now was a power blast. It was a gamble. The power blast would drain him entirely of energy to leave him unable to fight, but if he didn't he most likely be dead from the pain that now was sent into his body to light up his entire core. Even the stone that floated aroudn in his chest able to be seen was bouncing against the plates that held it as it slowly dripped of black drops from its core as it burned away. He need to now or he was done for. As if he was attacking his body let go of Alec his arms no matter where curled around himself in a ball shape as suddenly around him a black ball began to come form the arms to grow to a larger size around himself. it was not as good as before from all the pain, but it worked well enough as it blew up around him sending shock waves of black around at everything to knock the tree that flamed down, and even leaves from the branches. The size of the shock was almost the same as a small bomb lighting up a home in the darkness. So as soon as if started the power was over to easily let his body fall down to his knees of the ground his lungs terribly burned, and his mind twisting form pain. "No more please," he muttered his voice hurting as well. "Kill him if you must, but that was too much. I don't care what you do, just not again or I will die and thats bad if I do," he muttered almost the end evil and cruely.

Formosa groans when she sees her energy go to waste. She can't do anything except watch as the black creature gets engulfed in flames and then suddenly drops the boy, curling itself into a ball. The sonic blast that follows makes the fire in the tree go out and the tree topple over, bringing Formosa with it. She free falls for a minute and lands hard on her back with a large cut down her arm and a smouldering stick against her side. She coughs again from the smoke and struggles into a sitting position, looking around for the boy who'd just fallen about as far as she had. "Hey!" she calls into the settling embers and rising smoke. "You alright kid?"

After swallowing the guys blood, having it cover his entire face and upper body, both wrists covered in his own blood, plus the fact he fell two stories or more? Sure, he was fine. Apart from the fact he was wheezing like crazy and couldn't take in a breath without smoke filling his mouth and nostrils. He rolled onto his side, both arms coming up to shield his head from the growing smoke. His power would have to stop soon, it just had to! With Unknown letting go of him the fire had an odd color to it and was smoking like there was no tomorrow. Thick fumes of the stuff floating off from his hands and feet. Alec got to his knees, body facing the ground still. He took another wheezing breath, eyes already un-focusing. Early that morning he had problems with his breathing, and now that mixed with the smoke wasn't helping him at all.
Planting both hands on the ground in front of him Alec could only sit there. His eye sight was back, as well as the familiar black and white slabs set out in random places. "Can't. Breath. Don't. Hurt. Him." He slid his eyes from the ground over to the girl, pure terror could be read in them. They were again his average warm grey, but now they had an odd. . . dull look to them. You can't die, not now. You got this girl involved with Unknown, you've got to get her somewhere safe before dealing with him. Lulu wouldn't just let you lay here, not even in her cat form. Izzy had always told him, 'You've got to be strong Alec! Stronger then anyone else. You hear me? Be strong, man!' It was a moment like now that he had to be strong, and here he was. Drenched in blood, wheezing, and not able to take a breath. All because of the flames engulfing his hands and feet.
Concentrating his fleeting thoughts on the power, he tried to clam down enough to make them stop. His feet stopped with the flames, but his hands only died down a little. They were creating too much smoke, and the wind seemed to be blowing it right into his face.
Before he toppled over, Alec finally managed to get his hands to stop fueling the fire. Laying full out in the grass now, he didn't struggle to move or roll over. At the moment he could only try to pull in breath after breath of sweet air. There was still traces of the smoke, but it wasn't as bad now and he could breath. It was shallow though, and after a few moments he was set into a coughing fit.
Lulu, I'm surprised I managed to not just let myself not take another breath. After wanting it all to end, how can it just be you that made me want to stay in this place? You're dead, and yet, you're still keeping me going. I haven't even known you longer then two days, and here I am. Trusting you when I should be thanking that other girl.
Alec closed his eyes while he thought about Lulu, the auburn haired girl that reminded him of his sweet sister. "Thank you, for everything." His eyes snapped open at the end of the words, and he gazed over at the other girl.

Formosa smiles weakly in his direction and lays back down on the rough tree bark below her. "Any day." She responds. "So what's your name then, for starters. This happens and I don't even know your name. How incredibly rude." She tries a joke but when she laughs she coughs roughly instead. She takes a deep breath and rolls to her knees, crawling over to him slowly. "Formosa Asteri," she sits down in front of him and gasps in air. "pleasure to meet you, mister..."

A sheepish grin crossed his face when he saw that she was affected by the smoke and flames as well. "Alexander McGuel," He stated softly, pulling himself up into a sitting position. His ribs ached from the fight earlier, and he was almost positive that come a few hours he was going to have some serious aches and pains. "So, you heading back to the labs?" He didn't give it any though himself, just knew that if she was headed there then he might as well accompany her back since that was were he was headed. "I mean, they already know I'm out here, hurt and banged up pretty bad. Considering earlier events, I'm shocked they haven't sent someone to drag me back." Alec gasped in a large breath of air at the end of his words. maybe he had asthma, that would explain the weird breathing. That would suck though, having to worry about getting asthma attacks and what not while running around avoiding tests.
A thought flickered across his mind. Now there was no way he could put off getting clean any longer. Since blood was splattered across his bare chest, face, and hair, he was going to have to wash it off. Which meant getting into that bloody cold water. "Not sure about you, but I need to get the taste of blood out of my mouth." He shuddered visibly and as much as he wanted to run a hand through his hair he couldn't. Both hands were shaking themselves and blood was still seeping from them. From between the fire and Unknown, every movement hurt.

"And smoke," Formosa agrees. She's not sure she will be able to stand up, let alone walk, but they can support each other. It's only now that he's mentioned the taste of blood that she tastes the same thing in her own mouth and moves a hand to feel a busted lip. Her hand comes back into sight with much more blood on it than is probably good and she hopes she can fix it before the lab workers see her. "Ready when you are," she tells him, adjusting so she can stand herself up. She pushes up with her arms and shouts when the pain in her left arm becomes unbearable. She collapses back into the ashes and groans, looking at the deep cut. "You help me up, I'll help you up?" she asks through another cough.

A smirk splayed across his lips as he watched her fall back down after giving out a yelp. Even he had learned not to push himself too far in case he over did it. The thing with the cat was different though, he was trying to find someone he cared about. "Smoke? Bah, I'm use to that." Alec balanced one arm on top of the other as he gazed at Formosa. "Truth be told? I'm not getting up any time soon." Yet again his sheepish smile was back. From the pain that was soaring through his body, he'd be sitting there for at least another hour before he got the guts up to try and stand. Though here this girl was, ready to get up and go somewhere. He sighed, looked like he was going to have to stand whether he wanted to or not.
Kicking any substance that he might trip on away from him, Alec plant both feet on the ground and let out a breath. He could do this. It was simple. All you needed was strength and flexibilty. Easy, right? Well, he sure hoped so. If not he was screwed. He bit hard on his bottom lip, preparing for the world of hurt that was about to come his way. Maybe he could take her help and not have to worry about trying to do that jumping into the air and landing on your feet trick he loved to do. Perhaps he shouldn't be so big-headed about the whole thing and just lay there.
Not listening to himself, he tried the jumping trick and just about made it. He managed to land on the heels of his feets. The only problem with that though was that now he was stuck with trying to achieve balance. He didn't have 'balance' at all. "Really?" Alec groaned to himself, not able to fling his hands out and hold on to anything so he wouldn't fall again. A thought struck him, and his hand shot out to hold on to Formosa's shoulder. "Sorry," He blushed slightly once he was steady. Pain was shooting up from his legs and ribs, just like how he thought they might. "You're turn," Alec pulled his hand back from her shoulder and offered it to her to help her get to her feet.

"So you say you're not getting up and then you do?" Formosa asks with a small laugh. She refuses his hand, however, and instead uses a branch and her good arm to haul herself up. "I don't plan on going far. Just let's get out of the tree. I don't feel like sitting on sticks for an hour." She puts an arm around his shoulders to help steady him and herself. "You alright?" she asks, concerned at how off balance he is.
