Ghost grit her teeth and forced herself to go faster than she'd ever gone before. She steraked behind the stallion, only a few inches from being neck and neck.

A human yanked his horse to a stop, watching the two running horses ahead through narrowed eyes.

Ghost snorted and lunged forward, nipping hard at the stallion's flank as she bounded ahead a few lengths.
