Kailey froze " what? I-i-well I'm... " she stuttered

Pietro sighed in exasperation and ran around for a while, then sat somewhere and twiddled his thumbs.

*As Nicole looked around the strange mansion
warily, she saw a boy who looked bored. Tilting
her head curiously, she walked over and sat
across from him. "Hey. I'm Nicole; I'm new here.
Who're you?"*

Pietro looked up at Nicole. He carefully considered his words before speaking. "Pietro," was all he decided to say.

*Nicole gave a single dip of her head. "Nice
to meet you...I think," she said glancing around
carefully to make sure no one had sneaked up
on her while she was talking. She was still paranoid
from her days on the run. She absently tapped
her fingers on the table, feeling an urge to flash
into her invisible state, but resisting it. I'm
safe here...maybe.*

Pietro tilted his head. "You think?"

*Nicole smiled faintly. "Yes, I think.
I'm not too sure about this place. I
really don't like staying in one place
for too long, if you must know." She
looked around her again, scanning the
entire room.*

Pietro nodded. "Makes sense." He folded his hands, shuffling his feet every few seconds.

*Nicole sat in silence for a minute
or two, then said suddenly, "I know
that this place is a haven for...mutants,
but what happens here, really? What do
we do?"*

He looked up at her. "Not much. Train, save the world. Eat." He cracked a smile at the last one.

*Nicole cocked her head curiously
at the word 'Training'. "As in, honing
our powers so we can go kick butt?"
she asked with a slight smile.*
