I hate how everyone turns the Hunger Games into a huge phenomenon and makes everybody hate it.

Sure, sure, I'm excited, I have been for months, but it seems like everyone's being negative towards it because it's so popular. It sickens me to see how much hype it has, and how much people have been judging it because of that.
So yeah.

The books are amazing and I love them
But fans are going to bring an uprising of haters into this amazing book

To put it simply, it's Twilight's history repeating itself.

No, it's nothing like Twilight. Twilight is terrible writing and ruins the idea of vampires. Hunger Games is absolutely fantastic and should -never- be compared to that horrid series.

I wish my friend's mom would let her see Harry Potter. I can't make any HP jokes around her and it SUCKS. Same with LOTR, Star Wars, etc.

o_o What a silly woman. If it's for supposedly religious reasons I'm going to be very sad.

I'm also pretty sad to see the Hunger Games bashing. Twilight had an obvious reason to gather so much hate: a stunningly clear example of misogyny with a plot that told young women "abusive boyfriends are the best! if he doesn't emotionally, physically and sexually abuse you, he doesn't care about you!" Hunger Games doesn't have those themes and instead seems to have picked up some clever commentary about consumer societies as connected to a larger dystopian theme. Two different kettles of fish, there.

I can NOT stand bad trades! Dangit, how much clearer does it have to be, that I KNOW my stuff and WON'T be scammed! I log on every day to see at least five trades sitting for me, three of which are COMPLETELY unfair and the other two suggestions for one of my rarer pets, usually they are nowhere closer to being able to get it. Then, every hour or so I check in, and have a decent three sitting for cancellation
