See, its not the Lines its the layer, you need to make sure the colouring is on a different layer to the lines so when youve finished the lineart click the + and colour it in on that layer

I have a layer for coloring, and one for the lineart.
when i click color, nothing happens and the courser goes away.

I can explain it for you :3
First, click on the coloring layer you made, and color with a different color then the lines, making sure to stay inside them as much as possible. Then, check 'lock alpha' pick a color and start coloring.
It's also explained on the 'how to use oekaki?' guide.

...Do Lock Alpha?
Add all the layers you want (Background, Color, Lines, etc...And draw lines!), take different colored pen/brush than the background and fill in the place inside of the lines. After you did that, you can click lock alpha button (When color layer is selected.) and careless go all over the place (Actually, you can color without going outside the lines.).

Also make sure the lines are on a different layer than the background, and make sure the coloring layer is between the lines and background. If you're still confused, there's an editable for practicing lock alpha, Here

To add removable items, make as many new layers above the lines as you want, and click on one of them(it should turn darker than the others), then draw the item. Make sure to draw different items on different layers! There should be a black dot beside the layer, when you click it, that layer is hidden, or 'invisible'. Thats becuase you cant draw with lok alpha unless your colouring on something
