As Echo and Bizarro galloped through the forest, they saw that the police had already discovered the wreck.
"Officer, officer!" Echo shouted, the sound of pounding hoofbeats drowning out her voice. The officers looked up their way, and trained their guns on her. Echo pulled Bizarro to a halt immediately, a scared and wild look in her eye.
"Dismount from your horse, and put your hands up!" A burly looking officer with a gravelly voice commanded. Echo slowly slid off of Bizarro, and put her hands on her head. Two other officers ran toward her and twisted her arms behind her. Echo let out a cry of pain, and Bizarro stomped his hoof angrily on the ground.
The two officers effortlessly lifted her onto her feet.
"What are you doing here?" They asked her forcefully.
"I witnessed the accident! The dead man was drunk, and he crashed his car into a young woman's car. Upon realizing the man was dead, I left him here and took the girl to the nearby ranch. I left her there with her friends, and she's being taken care of. I'll take you there, if you want," Echo offered, hoping they wouldn't take her in.
"Please come, Megan!" Echo silently pleaded. "I need you now!"
The lead officer took one look at her scared face...
...pointed his gun at her head, and cocked it.
When you cry, it doesn't mean you are weak. It just means that you've been strong for too long.
The wind of heaven is that which blows through a horses' ears.
