Jessica and David
The story of a foolish girl, a miniature flying dolphin, and a love potion.

/Prologue

Jessie was quite a foolish girl, silly, flirtacious, and even bubbleheaded at times. But she was very sweet and put a lot of importance in things like schoolwork, something that made her father proud of her. But Jessica was very shy, with not enough courage to approach the boy she had a very big crush on.
And little did she know, he had a crush on her too.
But neather of them had enough courage to say so and admired eachother with longing, yet concieling it so the other had no idea of their feelings.
And as you know, somebody can't go on just admiring somebody from a distance forever. The boy was the first to stray from the cause, agreeing to go out with another girl who had her eye on him for almost as long.
And they fell in love.
The two would always be together, holding hands and walking down the halls. Kissing in public where Jessics saw them.
At this, Jessica was heartbroken. She she ran off, then sat on a corner and cried, remembering how much he loved his new girlfriend. If only she hadn't been so shy, or if he hadn't been.
That was when something caught her eye. Be her feet was a brown-covered book, very worn and without anything on the cover. She opened it up.
It was a book on brewing potions and poisons, some of them horrified and disgusted Jessie. She threw the book on the ground in disgust.
And it turned to another page.
This page, Jessie was interested in. For it told of how to make a super-strong love potion. A single drop could make two people fall so deeply in love, and the fumes of the potion were so sweet, yet had the same effect.
Drying her tears, Jessica ran gleefully home to brew the potion.

And set into action a most ineteresting chain of events.

Story:
Light shone on the crystal clear water, making it sparkle. Crystal sat on the dock, humming a soft lullaby. She sang the words from deep in her heart. Grief would try to blind her, pull her away from the truth. But, Crystal continued to hum. Until the dead truth made her pause. 'Shes gone' she thought of her little sister Rose. Rose had died of smallpox. One of many cases. She herself had had smallpox, but she had gotten lucky. Horrible memories flashed before her eyes. The hospital, the bed, her burning skin and throat, and the cry that escaped her mothers throat when she found Rose was dead. A heavy burden had been placed on her shoulders. Her mother was grief stricken. She refused to get up, and would blame herself for Roses death. "Why hadn't I given them that shot?" she would moan at night. Crystal shook the thoughts from her head. Standing up, she headed toward the house to make dinner.

"Mother, are you getting up for dinner?" Crystal sat beside her mother on her bed.
"No, leave me alone" she sighed.
"You must get up sometime, or you'll starve" Crystal murmured.
"Listen to your mother child" her father cut in.
"Yes father" Crystal took one last long look at her mother.
Crystal sat down, and started eating dinner again. 'Will mother ever get well?' she wondered. What she didn't know was these was only the beginning of her problems. More?
