History of The Shmoxes
It started a long time ago, before man kind walked the Earth. Somewhere in between the time of the dinosaurs and the humans, but when Foxes were alive. A female fox had hidden away to birth her kits in privacy. One of the kits though, was an odd color. Instead to being born an orange-brown, gray, or white, he was a green-ish gray color. He was named Meilo, and had spent his life alone, studying nature's elements. He had no interest for much else. Slowly, Meilo began to learn the secrets of Earth. He knew what made the water move, the soil and rocks move and shift, the air to blow around, and the fire to burn so brightly and strong.
When Meilo was in his prime, he found a she-fox of a bright orange, and they lived together happily. He shared with her the secrets and when they had kits of their own, three of the four were oddly colored. One was a bright green. Another was yellow. And the last was a dark blue. They had a truff of fur that grew on the top of their heads, and like their father, had a strange interest in the elements. When Meilo and his she-fox died, the kits continued their studies. And soon, the blue one, Shikira, learned how to master the air. She could make it move where she wanted it do. But she had a dark heart. She would use her powers to suffocate other creatures, taking away their air.
Before she got to her brothers though, they had also mastered an element. The yellow on, Maco, had learned fire, while the green on, Fortities, had learned water. They defeated her, but Fortities was baddly wounded. Maco had stayed with his brother until the flame-master died later that night. Maco traveled around, going from she-fox to she-fox, falling in small romances that never lasted. His blood spread, and only when he was dying did Maco share his secret of the elements with a bird. The bird traveled from place to place, and told the colored foxes the secret. Soon, they had started to call themselves Shmoxes.
There were a few who's bloodline was lost, and their names forgotten, but the names of the first shomxes -Meilo, Maco, Shikira, and Fortities- will never be forgotten.
