"Listen to me."
"I'm here to protect you." he said
He advanced on me. I wasn't entirely sure he was.
But I looked him in the eye anyway. Possibly she did send him to protect me, yet again, she would have told me.
And she wouldn't have him meet me in a dark alley, advancing on me with his sholders crouched like he was ready to grab me at any time.
Eather way, it seemed somewhat silly he was really here to prote...
He swiped at me, an attempt to grab me, but I dodged it. Call it instinct? Anyway, now that his cover was blown he attacked me with full force, trying to kick, punch, and grab me. However, I was not just any person.
I had been trained to be able to protect myself, making his petty excuse sound even more silly. How could I have bought into it, even for a second?
My hesitation allowed him to land a blow on my jaw. Ouch. I staggered back.
It seemed like he gathered his confidence and went all-out on another strike. I quickly dodged this and slammed my elbow onto his back. He fell quickly to the ground, his head hitting the dumpster before impacting with the cold, hard, concrete.
I looked down at him, growning and trying to squirm away.
I crouched down and looked him in the eye.
"Better luck next time."
"Listen to me!"
She shreaked, pulling his arm so that he would look her in the eye.
"You can't do this! It can kill you and it will!"
