i know i'm sooooo not worthy to give advice to you when my own art skills are pitiful compared to yers, but i have a suggestion to make the female look a bit more surprised like you intended. Maybe try taking away the shadow in front of her eye away, it might make her look like you wanted her to. just a suggestion.

i lke most drawings better with the out line but this is so cool! can i use it? i mean the base idea of it with him holding the rope thig around her. i draw cats wolves pandas and stuff like that.mainly cats now scince i started reading the Warriors series.happy st patrics day!
