But think of it this way: If you had taken them with you, they would be uncomfortable in the car, probably scared to death with dogs and cats roaming around. You did the right thing for them and I'm sure you love them and cared for them best you ever could, probably better.

Well I officially don't have Pumpkin (Hamster) or Sandy and Moo (Guinea pigs). I had to give them away because I'll be moving in the next week to Illinois. It's really far from where I live now and I'm going to have to travel by car. Not only that, but I'm having to live with some of my boyfriend's relatives and they have many cats and dogs that roam the house constantly. It was just too unsafe to risk bringing them and I think the car ride would of really upset them. I just feel terrible because I don't live stable enough to keep them. I made sure they went to a good home though... so at least I can leave knowing they will be happy still.

It's hard because I keep waking up or walking in the room expecting to see my girls and they are all gone. It's heart breaking .

Im soo sorry, but it would be uncomfortable for them in the car. At least you know they're at a good home.

Well people, I'll probably end with my breeding line, I'm probably having the hardest time btw all the breeders of our Klub and I don't know how to stand this anymore, so, I think I'll end with it, it's enough, I've lost two litters in two weeks, I've had 3 sick Hamsters in a week, I've tried to breed 3 times the same female, nothing, it's enough for only a month, I'm feeling sad, depressed, down and I have no friends at the moment, the only friend I had in my whole life is not here for me anymore, if I had at least a true friend to talk... *sigh*

Aw, I'm sorry, that must be really hard losing two litters.

Is there a disease or a virus going around where you live that could be causing it? I've never heard of it in hamster, but I know horses can get covering disease which can cause loads of problems breeding.

Hello again,

Yes, indeed it was hard, mainly in the 2nd litter, they were born dead, all of them, the mother ate the first one (dead as well), the others I had to took them.
What really gets on my nerves is the fact that I've saw so many bad breeders doing great and get what they want: MONEY.
and us, the breeders who studied a lot before breeding and are even registered on the Klub, well, we have all the bad luck!
I'm so tired of this and I really don't know for how much time I'll stand this, the worst of this, is that the male I bred with the first female is really really old and it is the only one that still can breed from my first lines, I need to continue that line, it was the best line I've ever had! And now, I just can't, because...well, I have no females for him, the ones I have are not good for what I pretend, I need a really big female, carrier of Black and Cinnamon, or being one of these colors and carry the other one, it's all I need... *sigh*
I'm feeling pretty bad and sad, but I want to say that I'm very greatful for all your support!

As for the sick Hamster, no, there's no virus at my breeding line. =/
