MAGIQUE'S CHARACTERS

    Name - Billie Tara Evans
    Age - 24
    Gender - Female
Status - Currently alive, and she's hoping to keep it that way
Weapons - A thick steel baseball bat (slightly heavier than usual models), A couple of flick knives about her person (she won't ever specify where), a box of matches ('everybody needs a box of matches' is what she always seems to say), and a belt full of tools (though most of them don't count as weapons she has whacked a good few zombies over the head with either crowbars or spanners)
Strengths - Excellent eyesight, it doesn't take her that long to tell a human from a zombie, physically for a woman she is strong and not unused to hard work, No matter what she always seems unafraid when in the face of a challenge, inside her though, is a different story.
Weaknesses - She cannot, for the life of her (quite literally), fire a gun. She cannot shoot at all whatsoever, she was never trained and was never introduced to weaponry. She can get sentimental and emotional, she finds it difficult to administer the final blow to a zombie of someone she knew, she will do it but with difficulty, and she may then be silence for a good few days.

Appearance - Billie's tall, around five foot nine or so, and she's lean. She's not skin and bones but she's certainly far from fat. She's a fit, well muscled girl who looks toned, sharp and pretty. She's a flat stomach, a slime physique and a slim face too. Her long brown wavy hair is almost always worn in a practical ponytail or plait, even for sleeping and her hair is rarely ever let down, both physically and emotionally. Her face hold some freckles, a pair of chestnut brown eyes and an appealingly pretty face, not too pretty, just that natural, almost rugged sort of look, she wears it well. Everyday she'll wear a tank top, black, white or grey, rarely ever coloured, some jeans or cargo trousers, she prefers the cargo trousers simple for all the pockets, around her waist she has a secure toolbelt that slides just slightly down her light left, and despite her inability at shooting the strap of her satchel has a bullet holster filled to the gunnels with ammo.
Another, apparantly minor detail of Billlie's appearance, is her necklace, she has a simple cord necklace holding three keys (one decorative, the use of the other two unknown), an engraved silver bead, handmade by her, a few saftey pins and paperclips too.

Personality - Before the 'epidemic' Billie was just your average twenty four year old, still slightly immature, willing to have a laugh, and living life to the full, but now that whole infection's come along she's changed. The old Billie's still there and she's willing to show that to her allies, but she more focused now, putting her baseball skills to a more practical use. She's still kind-hearted and innovative, but she's lost that little spark in her and she can appear mysterious and difficult to those who she's just met.
Despite all first appearances, Billie is actually a bit of a geeky type, she hides it well, but she is quite in love with comics and graphic novelia, She was always intrigued by the zombie books herself, and now that the 'apocalypse' has dawned, she feels almost preprepared.

History - Billie pretty much lived a normal life, well educated, befriended by many with a perfectly normal family environment. What fails to be normal in her life was that her family was one of the first infected. It was her little brother first, they tried to keep him locked away and safe, and keep the whole incident hush hush, but Billie's mother couldn't leave her son to suffer, Billie's mum was the next to go. The two of them rampaged the streets, getting everyone in the area, Billie's dad was one of those people. Billie, knowing from a lifetime of sci-fi comics, that the family she knew was never coming back, fled as fast and as far as she could. By this time, the epidemic had reached the news. Like all the rest of the sorry souls out here, she's just trying to get away and survive.

[[ Both of you guys look good. Give me a sharp prod later if I haven't added you to the list, everyone should be up by tomorrow.

Feel free to post; the survivors haven't moved from the bar. your characters could be hiding in the bar already, find the bar and get in 'somehow', come down from above, etc. Hopefully I'll get a post in before I go riding tonight. ^^ ]]

((Okie doke, Thank you. Just wondering, how do zombies infect in this roleplay, bite, blood, scratch? I've seen so many zombie movies there isn't just one set way anymore))

~ Billie Tara Evans ~

In and out. In and out. In and out, the intake of her breath was steady but deep, she was scared, as anyone would be. For two days she had been crouched here, in the cupboard, in the bar. Walkers never though to open cupboard doors, it was the same as in the comics.
Billie remembered running, running and running, running away. Away from her family, her friends and them, the walkers, the remnants of both her family and her friends. She shuddered, sending a small creak through the cupboard. She had stumbled upon this place by chance, it looked fairly well equipped and everything seemed to be in working order, but she had still found a safe place, a cupboard. Her limbs ached now, but she had been unable to venture out, for over the last two days walkers had been venturing in and out of the place. She longed to walk, or run, just stretch her legs in general, but she could hear them again now, walking about, making noise and creaking. She almost thought she could hear talking, but no walkers could talk, or to her knowledge anyway. She had been away from real company for so long she almost forgot there were humans in existence, she didn't even stop to ponder the though that she may be safe. She rolled her shoulders back, well, as best she could, before sipping a small capful of water.
She had the advantage there. She had supplies. She'd set out at first with friends, human friends, but they hadn't thought to bring food or water, they were soon turned anyway. It was just her now, alone. Listening to the own sound of her breath, it was not a pleasant way to live, but it was better than getting out of her cupboard to see who or more importantly what, was out there.
She couldn't go out of the cupboard, not now. Billie looked at her hands, bored and scared and stiff all over. She wondered if she'd see the light of day again, after all, the walkers seemed sensitive to light and she couldn't risk a match or her flashlight to read whilst they might still be out there.
She hated the very thought of them, those creatures, those creatures that once were someone's family, they were once mothers, father, daughters, son, friends, family, lovers. A tear threatened to roll down her cheek but she wiped it away gently. She was someone's daughter, but they were gone now, long gone, she as someone's sister, but they had bene the firs to go. Why had it been them first, why her little brother, her mother, her father, why her family? The tear no longer threatened to fall, it merely fell, rolling down her cheek slowly. She wiped it away again and straightened out, as much as one physically can in a cupboard. She's have to be strong now, she'd show those zombies. At the term she shivered again, this time sending a louder creak through the cupboard, this time the creak was more audible. She froze, suddenly aware the zombies might hear her. Her breathing was quieter and her eyes had focused in the darkness. With every cell in her body she was tense, her deep brown eyes staring at the cupboard door, frightened for her life.

X Killas 07 X

Robert Cross snuck around the city, taking advantage of all the space he had to move around, and making more without question. He just wanted to get some cover so that he and Bryan could rest. He had traveled pretty far across from his neighborhood and his desceased gang leader's house. He thought about everyone in his life that had been taken by the disease.
His grandparents got a call from his older sister about a week ago, telling them about how she had to get out of her city because of all the strange illnesses. She said it seemed to make people crazy and even turned them into cannibals. He shuddered at first, but then he had heard more and more about it and only wondered where it could have possibly come from. Like everything else, people blamed the government, and they of course tried to bring in the troops to help stop some of the hordes when they got too big for district law enforcement to handle. His grandparents had even become victims of a smaller horde when they went for their monthly doctor visits. His grandfather got scratched pretty bad, and his grandmother was even bitten, so they rushed to the hospital, but there were so many people that they wouldn't be able to get checked until the next day. They prayed that it wouldn't get too bad before then and they went home, planning out the nursing process until the next day. They would clean their wounds, disinfect what they could, lots of peroxide and alcohol, they would bandage them, and they would check them every hour. There were signs and posters up around the city by then that instructed people to avoid contact with infected persons and to wear masks like the japanese when they could. Then they announced it wasn't airborn, but they still had to avoid contact.
When Rob's grandparents got home, they had already started to look ill. Their eyes were slightly yet noticably sunken in, and their skin took on a light greenish look. Worst of all, their wounds looked horrifying, obviously having tapped into the bloodstream and spread as quick as snake venom. Rob knew what had happened before they even said it, and they could barely even process anything other than the fact that they needed help. They looked at Rob as if they hadn't expected to see him, they were sluggish and strange to talk to. Rob told them to take a nap, they complained that they were so tired....
Bryan interrupted Robert's train of thought with his barking. He tugged Rob towards what looked like a boarded up bar, but Robert didn't think there was anything there worth wasting his time. He had to get somewhere safe, he knew Bryan was even more tired. Bryan wouldn't stay, he just kept pulling and tugging on the leash. For a smaller dog he was pretty strong, he was a lean and very attractive little dog. There was something there and Bryan needed to go. He barked and whined, not letting Robert drag him away. Figuring that his dog didn't usually did him wrong, Rob followed Bryan, who hurriedly trotted to the boarded up bar and sniffed around, scratching at what seemed to be the front door and whining to be let in. He barked rather loudly, there must have been people inside. Robert was desprate to get in, or to at least shut Bryan up. He could swear the Walkers were catching on, there was an uneasy stir in the air. He tried banging to let whoever was inside know that he needed help.

Zane walked down the rubbled street, his copper gaze sparking a look of weary tirdness as he made his way down the town's slope. Beside him Bruno flanked his master, tongue lolling out between his tinted fangs as he eagerly looked up. A whine escaped his throat, but Zane ignored the dog and went on walking, limping slightly on his left leg, which he had bruised the previous night. He looked up at the silent sky, counting cloudes as if he had anything better to do, his hair falling into his face. Somewhere far off, he heard a low, thick moan, but Bruno barley reacted with a flick of his curved tail, and a tired Zane ignored it without thought or question. As the seventeen year old traced the button on his jacket, lonliness set in as it always did while he was traveling. Cheer up, Bruno's eyes seemed to beg, and he smiled faintly.

Charles Kinsley

He nodded towards Temptiz as she said his name, and then spoke up to her next statement. "It's easier in a group. We can look out for each other. We just gotta get the injured to somewhere safe, and work from there." Once they got to the bar Charles was securing some of the boards over the windows; they would provide security against any attacks. Thankfully the bar had few windows, and a lot of tables for wood to be used. He heard Temptiz speak again and blinked for a moment, looking up at her. "Uh, yeah, do as you please. I advise not getting drunk though. And we should probably save some of the hard liquor. We can use it to light the buggers on fire," he added in reply, looking around and Temptiz walked away. He wandered towards the other group of survivors, addressing the man who appeared to be the oldest male [Rick].

"How many of you are there? Can any of you do any first aid? We have some kids here who are really badly banged up," he asked, nearing towards some of the cupboards at the wall. He glanced around, grabbing a bottle of high proof liquor and bringing it towards Bella. He turned towards her boyfriend and frowned for a moment. "We need to get the bullet out and cleanse the wound. Alcohol might be our best bet, but we should rummage around to see if we can find anything else." His thoughts though were interrupted by a banging and Charles bolted to the door. Were zombies smart enough to bang? He frowned and peered through the boards, seeing a man and a dog. "And we just boarded the door up... we better do this and fast. I dunno if that noise will attract those monsters," he murmured, looking around to those around him for help as he began to pull the boards off the door.

[[ Zane should come across them as they're tearing down the boards. ^^ That way he can get in easily. ]]

{Okay, thanks.}

Zan's eyes narrowed on a bar not far up the slope. The doors were bolted, and just outside he could see a man and another dogg. Bruno growled lowly, the fur on his hackles beginning to rise. Unsure of how to react, he slowly headed towards the silent bar, looking around nervously. I don't work with others, he reminded himself, but just seeing another person will do me good. Why is he knocking? Is someone inside? He neared closer, silent enough to keep himself in the shadows, Bruno sliding beside him with a lowered head and narrowed gaze. He stopped short, thinking twice with a hesitant blink of his eyes. He could hear shuffling from inside the bar, and constant murmurs. There must be a group inside. "Go on, Bruno," he whispered quietly, "Go check it out, boy." Bruno let out a soft snort and shook his pelt, dashging towards the two figures with a warning snarl. Zane stepped aside, hidden from sight as his companion cornered the two.

~ Billie Tara Evans ~

Billie could hear more talking, she was beginning to worry. If walkers had learned to speak, she shuddered, she didn't even want to begin to comprehend the consequences. Wait a minute, she thought, people speak. The thought had ansented itself from her mind until this moment. She didn't know there were still people left. In fact, she was certain there weren't any people. She was beginning to worry now, this showing through her shivers. She didn't know what to do, get out of the cupboard and risk being eaten alive by talking zombies, or get out of the cupboard and maybe join a group of others. She wa sunsure of herself and her decisions, but it was a fifty fifty chance she'd be eaten. Though she'd prefer not to risk it, she still had one heck of a baseball bat in her hands. Slowly she edged to woards the cupboard door, easing it open a fraction to see what outside.

Humans. Real, actual humans. Real people. Actual, real people. She couldn't believe it. She hadn't seen real people for so long. The streets were walker territory now, and any humans she did see were lying on the floor being feasted on by rabid cannibals. Just like the comics, she thought, they always go for the brains. She eased the door open a little more, this time it make a rather loud creak and nudged something down from the shelf above. Witha huge clatter and an eachoing thump her position was revealed. "Sh*t," muttered Billie with a certain biting anger. She, though no longer afraid, still had not wished to make such a loud noise. Slowly, as if trying to make her situation a little better, Billie eased herself out of the cupboard. For a tall, lithe woman, this wasn't as easy as it would have been for, say, a child. She wiggled her way out, pondering how she had even got in there in the first place. Rising up and trying not to bump her head, Billie appeared, in her full, baseball bat weilding, bullet laden glory. She looked around taking in the scene, she hadn't seen light for two days and her eyes were only just growing accustomed to it. She noticed the people all milling around, most of them appeared oblivious to her being there. She took in her surrounding in a quick, panoramic glance, she could do with a shot of vodka right about now, thank goodness she was in a bar.

Dusk and East -

An unexpected chorus of growls emerged from East. His keen ears must have picked something up that Dusk's couldn't. Like usual. "East, whats wrong?" Dusk's own voice had a hint of a growl in it. East was a smart dog, and wouldn't growl unles there was danger. He knew that it could easily give up their position, and though the two where now in a group and as the others had put it ' safer ', Dusk knew there wasn't anything completely safe. If anything, grouping up could have attracted an even larger hoard of mas murdering zombies from the smell, and the wounded where especially vulnerable. Though there was a collar around East's neck, Dusk avoided from having him on a leash, so when he jumped in front of Dusk in a protective stance, he knew something was wrong.

Well, 'wrong' wasn't a very specific word, more like danger was approaching. Be it ally or enemy, human or murderous fiend. "East, eyes opened, be ready to run." commanded the tall boy with the black hair who was his owner, and so the dog obeyed, his tail still tucked in and his lips curled in a snarl. It was almost as the dog himself was human. Though of course, that was impossible, even if his intelligence was stunning.

Dusk just hoped that the dog's intelligence wouldn't be his doom.-

{Do you mind if I switch out Zane for another female character of mine? If so I'll change my form.}

Bruno lept out from the shadows, his lips peeling back into the beginning of a snarl. He raked his claws over the ground and strutted towards the canine, lowering himself to the ground as he caught another look. His ears pricked forward, and he silently gazed at the stranger, then up at the man. He grew tense, ready to bolt after his master in report of his findings. It was very obvious neither were the living dead, but Bruno knew very well they could be just as dangerous and stood his ground.
