{Sweet! So if I can just do a small post about Sydney, I will. I'm lucky my folks haven't come in here to tell me to get off. I'm praying they stay in the back room. }

…The gloom was settling over the horizon, and I couldn't hold back an immense shiver. I flicked my tongue over the cut on my shoulder; a flickering lamp light suddenly went out as a car whooshed past, blowing back my ears. Shaking my coat, I stood. It was deep night, looked plenty dark enough to go out, see what kind of a meal I could scavenge. My nose picked up the faint scent of grease and . . . dog. My hackles rose, and I sprang for the smell.

I happened upon a dog.

Sydney poked her small head around the corner of the alleyway. She sniffed the air and her mouth began to water at the scent she caught.

Grease. Nothing but Grease.

"Bingo." She said to herself, before darting down the alleyway. Before the shepard stood the motherload. the great silver bin that the humans at the Pizza Parlor deposited their delicious Pizza, Pasta, and Breadsticks into. She often wondered why they threw it away and didn't keep it for themselves. Aww well. Sucks for them. More for me.

Sydney hid in the shadows of a few trashbins, making sure the coast was clear. When she didn't see any flying objects hurtling towards her like a meteorite, she ran at the dumpster, launching herself to land in it's greasy contents. Breadsticks. Alfredo. Blech was that a Pepper! Roughage! Gross!

"Hey you stupid dog! Get out of ere'!" The owner of the parlor yelled out. She had been so caught up in her feast she hadn't heard him come out.

"Fatso's out! Abort mission! Abort mission!" She screamed out. Leaping off of the dumpster, and darting out of the alleyway. "See ya!" She howled.

Your • History { Truffles was born and raised as stray in Winthrop Park. Unfortunately, right after she was born, her parents were caught by a dog catcher and was put in the pound. She was about to be caught as well, but a kind and brave German Shepherd saved her from the uncaring hands of the dog catcher. The Cocker Spaniel pup was cared for by the larger dog, and learned the ways of life. She was very happy but what she didn't know was that it would all end very soon. One day, the German Shepherd got hit by a car as she crossed the street. Truff witnessed this devastating event and became depressed. She was all alone with no family or friends to comfort her. That all changed, when she was taken in by a pack of stray dogs who lived in Winthrop Park. At first, she did not trust these stray canines, but as she grew older, she grew to love them like her family. }
