His mind was focused on the form rapidly approaching him, and his eyes were still that odd looking color. Inside his head things were a mess, thoughts flying every which way, but only on one subject. Unknown had to be stopped or killed. Leaning more towards the killing side, Alec found himself in a very bad mood. The heat around his body grew with his rising anger until it started to dance fully around him. It could have acted as a shield had it not been for the fact that fire was penatrable by just about anything that could withstand its heat.
Staring at the thing, Alec's eyes barely flicked to where Lulu was dropping. So what if she got hurt? Hadn't she tried to kill him? Though his mind was at war with itself, he knew something odd was going on here. Unknown was hurtling himself at him, trying to seriously hurt, or kill, him, and here he was, just standing their, floating in the air.
It was at that moment when he felt the the orb's inpact, ripping him from the sky and his fire wall. His breath was instantly gone, and in its place was pure pain. The feeling coursed through his whole body. He tried to push away, to try and be free of the black orb. Hands clawing at the hard outside, Alec knew that he wasn't going to be able to stop this thing before they hit the ground. And that was where they were headed. There was no way out, no way of simply pressing fast forward and seeing how he lived through this. He'd gotten two strikes, The dogs and Lulu attacking him. No one got another strike, no one was able to cheat life and live longer then they should.
These thoughts ran through his head as gravity pulled them back to earth. He couldn't pull air into his lungs from the speed, and it felt like every one of his ribs were broke.
There really isn't another chance, is there?

Natalia Feathorn

Natalia wasn't quite sure what to say. None of them were really doing anything productive...spying on Liz's...what was he again? brother?...didn't seem like such a good idea to her. She wasn't a very big fan of eavesdropping or minding other people's business, but the brown-haired girl beside her seemed to be enjoying it.

"Er...Liz, don't you think it's kind of rude to spy on them? I mean, seriously, they're on a date," Natalia said quietly, feeling a bit shy at protesting. She crossed her arms, trying to push back her discomfort at speaking up. "I really think we should do something else. Maybe we can look for a way to escape."

Escape... Natalia wished she could escape. This place was like a prison to her. The one thing she wanted most of all was to get out and live her life the way she wanted to live it, not the way the scientists and the government wanted her to live it. I've been here for so long...to get out would be better than anything.

Snapping out of her memories at the sound of Natalia's voice, Elizabeth thought about for a few seconds. Wasn't that her thoughts on it earlier? "Yeah, hey, does anyone see them out there anyway?" Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she fumbled around to get into a sitting position again. Her hands braced on the grass in front of her, Liz peered through a bush's branches, trying to spot her 'brother'. No luck, at least not at the moment. Maybe they just wandered out of view for a little bit or something.
Yes, maybe that it's it. . . Liz nodded to herself, then turned back to the girl who had asked the questions. "They aren't even out there anymore, so I guess we can do something else now. Ya' know, instead of invading their privacy and all." There was suppose to be some humour or sarcasm in her voice, but she was too tired to pull through with it all, so it came out rather serious. Her shoulders sagged a little bit, but she didn't say anything else in case she screwed up her words even more.

Unknown was laughign on the inside as the blackness crashed into the boy with his speed. He could hear ribs cracking inside his ears as well as air of weasing from the boys futile attemps for air in his black orb contact, but he knew something was wrong. He knew it the moment he watched the fire die away. Of course over the years he took away powers from ever immortal, and for a good cause of living, but somehow he felt a knew one gained in a place of a lost one which must have been done by one of his arms he was never supposed to use against a immortal like programed. Though under his own mind he must have doen something bad, because in the next minute something hard like a claw made of pure like came to meet with his black stone inside his revolving center. Inside his black orb was a melting ice hand that dripped of water, and he didn't even the see the owner but he knew who it was. Not by her own accord, but by emotion state of anger by her power transfer and Alec she destoryed his life stone. A moment later the ball of blackness disspeared around them, but by the claw held up Unknown by the center. Alec like normal of a maybe dead body was sent heading to the earth, but quickly the ice melted to catch him on the back of a cat the size of a car, but the breed of a small little caracal cat. Unknown pulmeted to earth before landing with a loud thud, and only Lulu with a shining bell that sounded on her neck shook her head of distaste. She could feel Alec's body know of broken bones, and body out of air on her back maybe like that of a ragdoll from when she last seem him. Even though she was total mad to snap his face till it was red, she knew to help him so then she could still get mad at him for leaving her, but at the same time wanting him to life by his only friendship to her she knew. Like before though this time with her tail her tail long and wearing four gold clasps wrapped around his body like a bandaid before undoing instelf once he was settled on the golden grass burnt ground. Her cat like face came up to touch his cheek gently as if it was a peice of paper. She hoped with any luck he would be okay, and Unknown would stay dead, but with a look back at where his body layed only a faint imprint layed there where he shoudl have been. He still lives.

Stalking onward, thoughts in a jumble, Shawn dimly realized he probably should have thanked the guy. He had helped them, hadn't he? If not for him then Grace would still be laying there, probably dead. With a sigh, he turned to tell Jake he was being a jerk, to apologize, and to tell him 'thanks' and all that chiz. Instead he saw a large block of Ice coming straight at him. Instinct taking over, Shawn immiedately ducked, the ice almost missing him. The block managed to collide with his forhead, and with a force he was thrown onto his back. So this is how he reacted if something didn't go his way? And then the more plausible, common thought, Why the hell does this hurt so much? It wasn't as if he wasn't use to Ice, but it still hurt like crazy.
Lifting his head, Shawn glared at Jake. "What was that for!" His tone wasn't the least bit mocking or joking, just plain confused and mad. He hadn't even really done anything! Okay, so he didn't cut the guy any slack, and took to conclusions, but hadn't he done the same thing? Immiedately jumped to the fact that he had hurt Grace? Not taking in both sides of the story?

As he lay there, not sure of where 'there' was, Alec could only try to take in a breath at a time. He felt himself trying to gasp in a breath, but still got nothing. Trying his hardest to pull in air, it was still hard to even get a soft whisper of it into his lungs. There was movement around him, lifting him from where he'd laid before, and then there again was ground underneath him. Something touched his cheek, but he couldn't tell what. The texture was furry, so his mind automatically filed it away under 'animal'.
He could feel himself start to fall into a blissful, painless place. Was this it? Was this how it felt to die? Before he had much of a chance to think on it, Alec managed to gather a small breath. Pain was there, causing his eyes to snap open and a grimace to display on his face and in his dark grey eyes. Once he was able to get air, he was gasping for more, trying to fill his lungs all at once. He didn't like the painfree feeling as much anymore, and he could finally see what had brushed against his cheek.
It . . . it was a cat. A huge, giant sized cat, but it was one none the less.
Alec stopped thinking about trying to breath again, and focused on the feline. Words formed on his lips, but he couldn't voice them. He could only stare at the beast and pull in a breath, release it, and then repeat the process. Every soft, blissful breath of air caused pain across his ribs. Every time he tried to shift, to curl up to his side, anything, the pain was enough to make him stop. It felt as if every one of his ribs were broke, and something was deffinetally hurt with his right arm, and lower left leg.
Focusing on the cat again, Alec managed to speak the words that he'd wanted to. "Tell me a cat did not just save me." It came out as a whisper, followed slowly by a lift of an eyebrow. Then the realization dawned on him. He'd left Lulu to fend for herself when she fell. What had happened to her? Was she alright?
"Oh god, Lulu," Voice slightly louder, and much more concerned, he gazed around, only seeing the cat. His eyes flashed between the dark color they were at the moment, and a soft red glow. Alec tried to rise up into a sitting position but couldn't even really move forwards without agonizing pain.
How on earth was he suppose to see if she was alright, when he himself couldn't even move?

Before she could help it a small hiss came from her lips as he dared to move. he was broken, and it was painful for even him to be moving his limbs like he was alright. With some of her powers she knew which was hard it came out as emotion, and a soft bit of water formed arodun his feet before frezzing hard up to keep him still form moving from where his feet where. She could see his breaths cuased him pain, but what could she do? Her clothes usually on as a raptor where beside the grass looking as if shreded by some dog, and flexing her paws she only had claws for her nails as well as big paws for hands. Her fur was slightly wet with dew that stuck to her like almost water, but it dared not to move where it layed. Though the water seemed to move as if a water bed a bit as she moved. When she turned she only let the first tiny whisper of the cat comment slip by, but when he spoke her name her ears flicked upward with bits of tuff pointing upward at his direction, and her eyes landed on him as if calling her name. For a tiny moment she considered coming close to let him somehow notice her under the fur that layed her body, but with his eyes flashing a dangerous red color of his darkness maybe she kept still her long tail with gold clasps hitting the ground it tiny thuds ever few moments of nothing but the earth to keep the quiet from angering her.
With a soft sitting down her eyes closed for a moment as she stared up into the sky almost like she did with her old self. Her nose moved a bit as she took in a deep breath of the burnt air, the water nearby, and sences so detailed as the size of a car it felt so amazing. Her ears relaxed as did her tense body which she knew was the whole time she turned, attackd Unknown, and lowered Alec till now. Her water gently now pulsed with her body relaxing, and with the sunlight glowing down on her face for a tiny moment she felt as though her hair woudl right now be blowing back as it now did with her majestical dark green emerald fur.

[Correctico. x3 Also her fur is green, and the water pulses near her neck as a necklace look, legs and one along her back move like a water bed, and shine of blue sea water. I know werid, but this is a amazing character. c: Don't worry you will soon. ]

The way to get him to panic was to have him not able to move. What did the cat do? Stilled his moving.
Eyes wide and alarmed, Alec felt his finger tips digging into the burnt grass around him. They brushed cool dirt and only dug deeper into the ground. His breathing had managed to stay even, though he felt cornered and scared. How was he going to see about Lulu now? Was she even still alive?
His eyes sparked, only instead of having the normal fire resistance the power just spread the pain through out his whole body. Breathing through his nose as he closed his eyes tightly and pressed his hands into the ground, Alec could only try and forget about the cold wetness gripping at his feet. There was also the fact that he had to forget about how much it reminded him of the labs, how they could torture you to get you to do anything they wanted. Alec's eyes opened slowly, not at all the normal warm grey. They were again the red, blazing color of when he'd been mad and enraged.
This time though, his anger wasn't directed at Unknown, it was directed around him. He was running out of energy, his mind was jumping around on thought trains, a Cat froze his legs to make sure he couldn't move, and he was pretty sure he almost died. Leaving him with an option he liked too much to let it go. Alec stared at the moon, hands, fingertips, feet, and eyes all burning from the fire he was about to unleash. At the moment he didn't care whether or not that stupid cat got hurt, or whether Unknown was still out there, all he wanted was to be free of his Ice prison.
When the fire finally managed to get released, it was a puny few flames that only covered his body by a few inches. And after it again vanished, Alec was left even weaker then before. He'd stubbornly curled up on his side though, knowing that though it made the pain worse he was still alive. With every sharp breath, Alec knew that he wasn't about to die.

Revitka flitted quickly from Formosa's shoulder, to a perch on Liz's head. He began picking at strands of Lis's red-brown hair. This one's hair has a funny taste to it. Is it better for nests? Revitka questioned Cass, much to the girl's amusement. "Liz's hair is not for making nests. You need sticks and mud for that, hair will do you no good." Then Cass's eyes went from the bird on Liz's head to her face, then to the other girls in the group. They must thing she was mad, not even someone with crazy powers talked to starlings. It just wasn't the way of the humans. "Sorry about Revitka, he's very curious." Cass was certain she was blushing at this point, she was making such a fool of herself after all. Why hadn't she just continued to the caves where the bats were, things were so much easier with them. "I didn't see anyone on the way up, whoever it is you were spying on probably isn't too close anymore." And so her last attempt at normalicy went. She sat down on a stump, crossed her legs and hoped it had worked. Though humans weren't her favorite creatures for friends, she would need to have some of them if she were to get out of here.

Jake gave a growl. A chill came to his arms,where he found ice covering his arms. The ice stinged, making Jake want to just rip it off. He knew that if he tried, the flesh might stick. Jake ignored the pain and walked over to Shane, looking down on him. A big red gash was on his head. Had Jake really done that? This power was stronger than he thought. Jake just stared down at him for a minute, watching Shawn's anger grow toward Jake. Maybe he did take it too far. No! This was a girls life that the boy was about to waste. If Jake wouldn't have came, she would of died. Where was she anyways? The labs! He let them take her. He let them hurt her. He had no idea of who this girl was, but he just wanted to provide protection.

Jake had seen what things the government would do to the people who went in those rooms. Many never came out. He would always here screams and cries, many getting weaker by the minute. They were going to kill her! He let an innocent life pass away. Jake's attention turned toward Shawn. He said sharply "That was for being an a**. Now, if your done adding your scratches, I could use some help getting her back." Jake gave a sigh, why was he asking him for help? Jake reached out his hand for Shawn to grab and hoist himself up. Whether he would take it or not, it didnt matter to him.

Shawn's face started to fade to black. soon, her sight disappeared and she plummeted to darkness. She couldn't move, she couldn't speak, she just watched every patch of black. Bzzzzz. The sound of light came to her head. Grace opened her eyes to catch a glimpse of of the light that hanged above her. It was so noisy. Grace looked around to find the room empty. Where was everyone. Her vision blurred, only allowing her to see a small portion of what she focuses on. She got up, realizing she wasn't in restraints. Her head pounded, sending a cry of pain. Grace looked down, noticing some shorts and a blue tee on her. Maybe it was a dream. It was all a dream. Her eyes carefully scanned the room, where she made out a door. Grace took a step, dying to get out of here. Before she knew it her head gave another pound, sending her to the floor. She grasped her hair, pulling on it as if to stop the pain. She then found her heart aching, as if she was having a heart attack. Was she dying? Did they give up on her?

No! She wasn't dying. Grace opened an eye to find herself laying in blood. Blood? She then realized that a majority of her skin was covered with it, especially around her chest. Grace yelped and got to her feet. She walked out of the door, then into the halls. As she walked she had to hang lean on the walls for support. What was going on? Another pound of pain came to her, knocking her to the ground. She heard a clang as she hit the ground. That was a weird sound? Grace scanned her body for any source of anything hard. When she felt her chest, it was not soft. The thought sent her into fright. What did they do to her? She ripped open her shirt, finding that the skin over her heart was replaced with metal. This couldn't be happening? What did they do to her?

Anger hit Grace, she had to get away. She wasnt waiting for shawn, she wasn't waiting for anyone. She couldn't go back to her room just for more insanity. She couldnt go to the forest for Shawn was there. Wait! She couldn't even move. How was she going to escape when she couldn't get up? Grace let out another scream, trying to aid her pain. She curled up in a ball, crying to herself.
