(( I'm loving the amount of drama, gang! :) Now if only Livius can get back to the herd and see it all going down!

elliej1995, you could have Shadow show up again. Or maybe Famous could help Dolce?))

Again, far-off and muffled, Livius heard Dolce's voice and his futile anger at the thorny bushes grew.
"GAH!!! Let me go, you cursed bush!!!!" The harder he tugged, the more sore his tail became until he felt like someone had danced all over it. It felt as if his tail was separating from his body at its base the next time he pulled and he stopped, panting and shivering with the dull throbs of pain lancing up his spine. "This absolutely reeks..." he muttered venomously, giving the bushes a hard glare. He took a deep calming breath and closed his eyes, listening to the relative peace of the surrounding forest. The birds were still singing in the canopy and he could hear the quiet ragged croak of a tree frog from a nearby set of tree roots. He knew that when the wildlife went silent, he would have to either escape or be very, very still. Looking back with a thoughtful frown, he mulled over his options. He had noticed that a few of his tail hairs had sheared off with his biting and wondered if he could sacrifice his pride for his hastier return to the herd. Taking some silvery strands in his teeth, he gingerly gnawed and tugged - and to his delight, his tail unraveled a bit from the entrapping thorns! As he took another mouthful of his tail, he realized that the forest had gone silent. His violet eyes widened while his blood went to ice as he realized that he was being stared at: something...probably nothing good...was watching him.

Famous wandered through the territory. She heard Dolce yelling for help. She cantered over a few hills and could just barley make her out farther down the river. "Dolce!" she called down ro her running to her.

I galloped up to Canad, taking a second the glance at the furious mare that was confronting Canad, then snapped back to my worries, "Canad, I think Livius is lost in the forest across the river and I can't find him, we need to go and find him because it's all my fault and I'm really worried about him, please you have to help!" I said quickly then gasped for air from my speach and the run over. I felt my tears come more quickly and wiped them on my leg then looked back up to see Famous running towards us.

(( Poor Canad, I just realised i've made matters worse for him. Sorry Canad! ))

[I'm feeling rather tired so I prolly won't post tonight, but let me just say that since Sasha was so badly scarred emotionally by another stallion....she's not really interested at romance, I even plan on having her leave for a while and wander, so everyone will really have a shot at a relationship with her. But at this point I'd say that the only thing that she's interested in is friendship, so no worries ;)]

-Canad-

Canad slowly walked away from bandit, wanting to find out who this new mare was. he thought he had heard the name Sasha. he trotted down the hill to catch up with sky and the mare, and slowed to a walk before coming up to the shy mare. "hello there, i believe i heard your name as Sasha? mine is Canad." he said, being as verbally simple as possible as to not scare the mare. she seemed wary around others. she was quite pretty, a striking mare, actually. he would be glad to welcome her to the herd. since halo and livius both had a mare, he was only worried about the rouge. he hadn;t thought of him lately, the thought of him brought a worry back in his head.

I stared after Canad, a little confused, then I looked to find Halo with an frustrated sigh; accidentally forgetting about Famous. Once located I hurried over to him, "Halo! I need you're help, I think Livius is lost in the forest across the river and I can't find him and I'm afraid that the stallion that you chased off it going to attack him and I can't find him on my own!" I said quickly again. I stared at his face, looking for a sign that he'd help me. Oh, please hang on Livius! I thought.

Username: wibeke
Equid Name: Tyrant [Ty]
Age: 5
Gender: Male
Picture: x
Personality: Stubborn, incredibly arrogant, and somewhat stupid, Tyrant thinks he's the toughest equid around and wants everyone else to think the same. He loves to tell stories of his incredible feats of strength and endurance, and particularly those about how he got his scars. His stories usually have a bit of truth to them and he is a bit stronger than many of his counter parts, but most of "heroic deeds" actually stem from situations brought on by his own arrogance and charging into something he wasn't prepared for rather than actual bravery.
On the other hand, the stories of his scars have no truth to them what-so-ever. He's claimed everything from saving the herd from a mountain lion to facing down a mother bear and winning; but the truth is far less glamorous. As a colt he got his tail tangled in a barbed wire fence. Instead of waiting and working on freeing his tail more gently, the terrified young equid thrashed around violently, allowing wire to cut deeply into his sides and very nearly kill him. Of course, this is a story he'd rather not tell. A brave equid like him being conquered by a fence? Pfft, never.
Rank: Stallion
Other: He somewhat wants a mate, but is more interested in one-off breedings.

(( Wibeke - I LOVE the story behind Tyrant's scars. I thought that was SO clever! :D

Perhaps you can join the storyline with Tyrant bumping into Livius? He's all stuck in brambles right now and going nowhere fast. Just a suggestion though. :) ))

He knew that nervous sweat was breaking out all over his skin beneath his grullo pelt and that didn't help his case at all. If anything, it broadcasted that he knew that he had been spotted and only goaded on whatever was watching him, especially if it was predatory. Thoughts raced through his head: I'm too young to die! Dolce! Mother, father! The herd! Don't want to die! Dolce! Sweet Dolce... It was the most bitter and poisonous thought then, the feeling that he wouldn't see her again - wouldn't look into her innocent rubescent eyes - hear her bell-like laughter that he could tell was unfettered and heartfelt - be awed at how her past had tempered her and yet not broken her. Livius felt his joints begin to tremble as doubt gnawed away at his courage. The feeling of being stared at only grew and he searched the undergrowth frantically, praying that he would either be spared the knowledge of what was stalking him or at least be able to face it head-on, teeth and hooves flashing. He may have been more delicate than normal horses, but that didn't mean that his strength was any less. Yes! I am strong! I was a loner and lived. I can handle my own. Feeling his sore tail twinge as he shifted his weight, he pulled back his ears and summoned the last fraying strand of bravura, glistening like a spider's strand of silk within his soul.
"Come out! Come out right now, you faceless coward! Show yourself!" His voice was ragged and wavered at first, but with every command, it grew until it belled out. Birds flew up from the canopy into the clear blue sky above and he felt the sunbeams on his back like a comforting warmth that fed his tenacity. He wouldn't go down without a fight.
