The boys saw her come, and knew what it meant when she released her pokemon. The fight had officially begun.
There was no turning back now. Both pokemon attacked simultaneously, striking the lillipup and leaving it weak, though the bidoof
was still at full health points. Squeaking it used growl, the lillipup also doing so.

Kyot returned his new ivysaur, pride swelling in his gaze. "Okay, you did good boy." he congratulated.
"No Hermia, go!" he said releasing the pidove.

To his surprise, and delight, a male pidove emerged!

Ivory smiled when she saw the move had done damage, but Static's had not. "Alright. Use Spark again, and Blaze use Tackle!" She called out, balling her firsts. How she hoped she won this battle, and then she hoped she could win the battle against the Gym Leader. Ivory really wanted to get to the next town.

Dark nodded. "Let's catch it." He studied the small bird and finally said, "Pound!"

The lillipup was knocked down a moment, but managing to struggle to its paws showed it had survived the hit.
The bidoof was hardly affected and shaking it's head to clear it pounced forward, it's fur fluffed out to make itself look
more intimidating. The lillipup and bidoof both attacked the pichu, one using tackle, the other bite. {-34}

The pound did some heavy damage to the avian, and a bit bewildered by the sudden damage it suffered
it fluttered its wings and flew up. It used wing attack, dealing 26, which was super effective!
However, this knocked out the treeko.

Ivory was glad to see that Static hadn't fainted, but he was weak. Not too weak, but weak. "Static, use Spark again! Blaze, use Ember!" She called out, knowing that the Lillipup would faint very soon.

As the sound of the healing machine beeped, Lucy took possession of her pokeballs and places them the belt at her hip. From here it was still possible to see the battles going on in the multiple areas of the gym, however it was an awkward angle. She drifted from the back wall to a side wall to get the better seat in the house. The Gym Leader and several other of the apprentice boys all had their hands full with challengers.

She leaned back against the wall, enjoying the cool, smooth feeling it gave on her arms and back. Good thing I came in earlier, Lucy thought. It might have been somewhat distracting will all the battles going on around her. Perhaps she'd see something she liked. Whether it be a person's battle style, the Pokemon, whatever. Although she was a single-going person, maybe, just maybe, Lucy could set aside her quietness to have a conversation with someone after their battle.

"Aah!" Dark jumped back. He slowly went towards the pidove. "Here, let me take you to the Pokemon center, you look hurt." He gently cradled the pidove in his arms and walked toward the Pokemon center, pulling Treecko back into his poke ball.
