Alas, I have an entry. It's relatively short, but should suffice.

Dear Grapevine,

We got out through the back door, Autumn taking the lead as soon as we were outside. When we were a safe distance down the street, we stopped and Autumn turned to us.
"Alright," she said, her gaze sweeping over the three of us, and I thought I saw a shadow pass over her features as she eyed Lotus. It quickly vanished as she continued, "we need to get somewhere safe; somewhere as far from the institute as possible. However, in order to do that, we'll have to walk past it again."
Lotus's eyes sparkled with alarm, and Donovan grimaced. "But if we do that," she began, "then we'll be caught for sure!" Autumn shook her head at this.
"Don't be ridiculous," Autumn said. "It'll be at night; they won't notice us. Trust me."
Trust me.

An order we'd later regret.

Grapevine,

We reached the institute by dusk, as Autumn had predicted. What's with her anyway? Why is she taking over the group? Whatever, I don't really care.
"Come on, hurry up!" she said, being several yards ahead of the rest of us. Don bent and whispered in my ear, "If she says 'hurry up' one more time----"
"GUYS!" Lotus interrupted. We all turned to see at least six guards rushing toward us. "Run!" she yelled, and we all scattered, though it was useless to do so since we were outnumbered.
I started to follow my brother, then I broke away as a guard lunged for me and missed, landing face-first on the grass. It would have been comical in other circumstances. I found myself crashing into the high, barbed wire fence that Lotus and I had climbed to escape. Turning around, I saw that two of the guards had me cornered.
"Come on girl," said one of them with a sneer, "we won't hurt you." I spat on the ground at their feet, making them recoil with disgust.
"That's not very lady-like," said the second guard, and he rushed forward and seized my wrist. The other guard followed, taking my free paw and throwing me to the ground.
I heard my brother yell for me, and struggled against the force holding me down, but to no avail. After a few moments, they hauled me to my feet, and I saw two other guards holding Lotus the same way, except she was clawing and biting at them, more desperate to escape than I.
I spat out a mouthful of dirt and grass. "Lotus!" I yipped, and she turned to look at me. No... someone past me. I managed to pivot around enough to see Autumn standing by the other guards, talking casually as if they were simply acquaintances.
"Autumn! What are you doing?" Lotus snarled.
Autumn looked at us both and said aloud, "Have a nice life," before padding off down the street.
