Her murmured thank you did not escape his ears, and brought a smile to his face. He stepped in behind her and let the door shut behind him. They had made it before the rain started coming too hard and he was glad for it. He glanced over in time to see her running her fingers through her hair. It must have been a girl thing. He shrugged and nodded to the tables and booths inside of the cafe. "You can choose a seat. I'm going to get some coffee. Do you want anything?" He took a backwards sidestep toward the counter where the server stood, smile ready and willing to help. He already knew what he would get, but it was always polite to offer your company something. Besides, he owed her for being so willing to let him draw her. As if to persuade her, he added, "They have the best pastries and goodies here."

He didn't glance over his shoulder to show her that he knew. When she came to nearly run into him, he slightly stopped and took a diagonal position and let his half profile rest on her as she repeated the words he'd come to say along the lines of deciding to go back and supervise Crayon from going on a killing spree. He let his pale green eyes study her face at her worry and masking of trying to hide the blabbering crazies inside her mind and he gave her grin to spread on his unflexed face and he let his palm come to gently pat her head as he commented. "C'mon slow poke." He teased her gently before he let himself take a long stride foward and came to clasp the handle of the back door and opened it, stepping aside to allow her to step in before him, gentlemen like.
