The only thing stopping Adam from visibly swooning at her smiles was the reminder that they hardly knew anything about eachother. "Well, that's a given," he laughed, going along with her attempt to sort of break the tension that had seemed to grow between them. "I have a cat, too, though, so I know the feeling. She's a lazy poop, probably laying on the couch right now." The thought of his lovable white cat stretched out across his old, squshy sofa made him smile to himself. That was home to him, honestly -- the animal he'd raised from a kitten, named after a Beatles song.

"You hear that Mooshi" Rhett whispered looking back down at her one eared companion. She of course always got frustrated when her long dark hair fell around her face. She sighed but continued talking to the tired cat. "He has a girl cat" she joked before leaning back again. "He is really gonna hate it when I have to stand up and move him" she said chucking again.

Adam gave a little chuckle at her comment aimed at her cat, and again at what she said to him, the second laugh accompanied by a knowing nod of the head. his curls shook in an embarrassingly feminine way when he nodded, which he hated, but the thought he could let it slide. Getting to his feet, he held a hand out to Rhett. "You need help, or can you manage Senor Tubbs by yourself?" he joked. Well, that's a sign of progress, he thought to himself. You cracked a joke. A little teasing, possibly harsh, but still a joke. A lighthearted, 'hey look at me I'm loosening up around a really gorgeous chick' joke.

"I don't know if that enough time to get my hair done" he joked, he laughed slightly "Yea twenty minutes is good." Elliot added rubbing the back of his neck nervously. The random bit a nervousness he had been feeling lately made him worry a bit. But it also made him think. He grinned awkwardly down at Macy, in mid thought.

Rhett laughed and scooped up Mooshi with one arm. He meowed in protest not wanting to be moved from his resting place. Then she took Adam's hand and pulled herself up. She flipped her black pelted pet onto his back, unlike most cats Mooshi didn't mind lying on his back. She cradled him as if he was a little baby and smiled down at him "Sorry darling" she said with a laugh, the over weight cat yawned and pawed at her bangs.

"Well, lead the way." Adam said with a smile, giving a tiny flourish of his hands back toward the sidewalk. "I don't need to clock in for about an hour and a half, so we have some time to kill after you drop Mooshi off at home," he chimed, just trying to start up a bit of a plan. Already, though, the wheels in his mind started to turn. Would they go to Housing Works, the bookstore he'd originally aimed to go to? Just walk around? Maybe they'd hang around Rhett's place, wherever that was, or possibly back to his. Either of those could be a little odd, though, even for him. But he couldn't help but think of what was going to happen next.

Rhett looked ahead there was still quite a few people. When she was alone she would usually just pull up her hood and quickly weave threw them. But she knew she couldn't do that now, she hesitated for a moment. Then she held Mooshi closer to her. She made her way threw the crowd mostly looking down at her feet. When the groups of people began to fade she sighed in relief and slowed her pace.

Jace wrapped his arms around her waist, resting them on the tops of her trousers. He looked into her eyes, gazing into them, imagining her thoughts were his. He smiled at her then kissed her quickly once more, his kiss full of the passion he longed to express with words he could not find.

Calla smiled softly at him. She cupped his cheek with her hand and gently kissed him back. She pulled away gently and smiled softly at him. Her blue eyes held his gaze. Some of her blonde hair fell from behind her shoulders to infront of her face. The tips of her long blonde hair skimmed Jace's cheek.

Jace brushed her hair back gently with one scarred, tanned hand. He smiled, his teeth a dazzling white against his darkly tanned skin. He pulled her closer to him, so that their faces were just inches apart, then leaned forwards, holding her against him. His breath came in short gasps, and his nerves were like a live wire.
