Bloodpaw smiled, "You will be the first person I see when I do!" He chuckled, licking her head, "And that is a promise I can keep!" He laughed softly, his tail having that friendly flick.

BANDEDOWL | Warrior | Male

The tom's eyes lit with a steady excitement, and curiosity in earnest. He swiftly circled Icetalon, returning to his side, he felt energy slowly creeping into his drowsy body, from the top of his head to the soles of his feet.
"Well what are you waiting for?" Bandedowl inquired in an eager whispering voice, "Allons-y!" He raised his voice so the others behind him could hear clearly. With a bright smile and a clever gleam in his eyes, he took off ahead of the patrol, expecting them to catch up quickly.

Thornkit smiled before she slunk after him, her light brown eyes bright with excitement. She chased after Bloodpaw's tail out of camp. Her eyes grew round like an owl's as she stared around herself in awe and shock. "This place is wonderful!" She murmured softly.

Shrewpaw wasn't sure what to make of this talkative cat. Feeling slightly overwhelmed by the questions and not really sure what to do, the grey tom sat on his haunches slightly confused. He grinned mentally as he brought himself to his full height, and lashed his tail. This'll be fun! he thought gleefully. "Well now, wild cats you say? You mean the ones that eat bones and housecats for breakfast? Well there are a few of them out here, alright." He mewed and nodded solemly. "Oh yes, they live here alright kittypet. They're dangerous cats, with claws that could claw trees to pieces, and fangs that could snap through bone itself. A cat like you wouldn't want to be stuck here."

Ajax

From what Ajax heard from this cat, the loner came to the realization that the cat probably knew more about the forest cats then he did. Heck, not even the wisest cat in the town knew a lot about the cats! If this stranger cat said so much about the cats, then he ought to believe him. But he couldn't act scared in front of a stranger? Couldn't he?

"How do you know so much about the wild cats?" Ajax's voice cracked and sounded more like a squeak than anything. His attempt at sounding brave came crashing down on himself.

Icetalon eagerly chased after Bandedowl, paws sloppily pummeling the ground and making loud noises on contact. He yelled, "Bandedowl! Wait up!" Icetalon was panting by the time he caught up. "What's so exciting?" He asked urgently, tail whisking around as he ran. His head bobbed up and down and he struggled to catch his breath, breathing in sharp, ragged gasps.

.: Silvertail :.

Silvertail dragged her gaze over the group of cats that was her patrol and twitched her whiskers in amusement. It was a rather large patrol, and she was surprised that so many cats had volunteered to come on a boring border patrol. Her eyes stopped on Ebonyfrost and he stared at him for a moment, until his head turned towards her and she dropped the stare. Silvertail awkwardly shifted from paw to paw, balancing her weight on each shoulder. She glanced at the entrance to camp, then back to the cats, "Are we ready to head out?" She meowed loudly so that they could all hear.

"Yes." Nightfrost murmured, wanting to meet the she-cats beautiful gaze again. He shook his head to clear, and focused on the patrol. Nightfrost loved Silvertail, even if she didn't notice. He didn't know what to do! Should I put my Clan first, and try to do good to be deputy, or fawn over a she-cat who doesn't notice me. Hard choice.

Petalpaw bounded up and down, saying, "Yes! Can we leave already?". she was excited to go on a patrol. What if we meet a fox? Or a badger? Maybe a enemy clan? Or kittypets?

Silvertail nodded and turned towards the tunnel, taking in a deep, full breath before pressing forwards. She ducked beneath the low laying roof of the bushes and quickly slithered forward. When she came out into the forest she filled her chest with air and sighed, relieved to be out of the camp that seemed to smother the air. Silvertail held up her tail and looked around, gesturing for them to pause, then decided on her direction and headed that way. She went in the opposite direction of the hunting patrol, heading towards the highest point of the forest, where the Moon Beam would settle over the clearing. Silvertail knew this place well. She remembered all of the different times she had been there, and felt nostalgia wash over her like a tide as memories flashed in her head. Silvertail had gone with Brookfeather as an apprentice after her sister died to plead for forgiveness from her and her mother. The clearing where the Moon Beam rested was small; a mere break in the trees. But every moonhigh, the moon would cast it's light down on the clearing and light it up like the sparkling of the water at sunhigh. Silvertail sighed as the memories gradually returned to the back of her head and she continued forward, veering away from the hill. She came to the twoleg path and glanced each way, looking for the hikers that crossed every once and a while. Silvertail hissed at the patrol to stay back as three twolegs passed by and a beagle. She froze in place, muscles growing rigid. Silvertail had seen this dog before, with the older female twoleg and her son. She hissed at the patrol, "It's Sweetie!" Silvertail had heard the twolegs call her this before down at the beach, so she assumed this was her name. She suddenly wondered if the other clan cats knew who Sweetie was. Silvertail shrank into the bushes, pushing the patrol back a bit. She turned and meowed, "Sweetie is a dog," She explained. "She belongs to some twolegs that come here every once in a while to go down to the lake. The twolegs are fine but the dog is dangerous. She's fat though, and shouldn't be too much of a challenge if she notices us." Silvertail poked her head from the bush and watched them walk past, talking about some sort of 'computer game'. It puzzled her for a moment but she pricked her ears and watched the dog intently, "I think it should be safe now."

"Computer game?" Petalpaw hissed confusedly. The dog was fat looking, it's tongue lolling about. The Twolegs were chattering loudly, and Petalpaw was afraid. Her pelt fluffed out, and her lips started to curl back. She didn't like Twolegs, or dogs. Once they left, she calmed down. But she still remembered the dogs that killed her mother. Petalpaw's flashbacks started coming, again. As if nightmares every night weren't enough. She gasped and twitched. Petalpaw closed her eyes and squeezed them shut.



Nightfrost stared intently at the Twolegs. "Sweetie? It looks more like a 'Furry-ballie', to me." He retorted. They were dressed in bright colored pelts, and one was bouncing a green and white ball. Nightfrost hissed a little, then turned away. He stealthly stepped away from the bush where they were cowering. Nightfrost wanted to get on with the patrol, away from the mange-pelt dog.

Silvertail glared at them and hissed, "These twolegs are fine. I've watched them before, they never try to harm me. The one there," She pointed towards a medium sized female with black hair and glasses. "She can't hear and she can barely speak. They use signals with their paws to communicate. That one," She pointed towards the stocky, tall, black haired male twoleg who seemed to be still very young. "Is her son. He's very nice despite his large size. The last one," She nodded to a tall red head with glasses. "She's their kin, but they aren't always together. As you can see I have learned quite a bit about them. If you four could actually be patient you might learn a thing or two." She muttered quietly under her breath.

BANDEDOWL | Warrior | Male

Bandedowl glanced back to Icetalon, steadily keeping his pace.
"Je ne sais pas!" He grunted, a sharp smile of anticipation painted on his face as he looked from Icetalon to the path in front of him.
"-But whatever it is," He hesitated a brief moment to catch his breath. "I think we're about to find out." His claws dug into the ground as he ran, sending small clots of dirt flying into the breeze behind him.
The tom's muscles rippled under his sleek striped pelt as he blazed through the tree's, his fellow clan mate running along side him. His paws made a rhythmic tune as they hit the forest floor; 1, 2, 3, 4... 1, 2, 3, 4... 1, 2, 3, 4... 1, 2, 3, 4... Like drums. There was a pause in between each measure, where all of his paws left the ground and he seemingly lept through the air. He looked almost like a rabbit the way he ran. His banded tail streamed out behind him like ribbon, rapidly twisting and curving as he worked to keep his balance steady. Bandedowl cracked his mouth open slightly, drawing in the air which was tainted by the scent of blood, which swiftly grew stronger the further along they went.
