"I'm Ajax-I don't live far from here," the tom answered, his blue eyes gleaming with happiness that he finally found a cat to chat with. "What about this patrolling and territory stuff? Do you live out here alone, which is why you patrol? Are there any other cat's territories?"

The loner obviously was oblivious to the fact that he was, indeed, speaking with one of the rumoured wild cats in the forest. He would have never thought that a cat all the way out in the middle of the forest would be the one of these wild cats. Stuff like that just didn't make him realize that he could be in any danger at all.

"Oh, by the way, what's your name?" he asked further, not realizing that he could be a possible annoyance. "And do you know about the rumoured wild cats that roam in the forest? Every cat is talking about them in town, which is one of the main reasons I came out here."

Bandedowl sighed, with a sideways glance back he took a step forward to stand beside Icetalon.
"Listen, this could be trouble," He started, speaking in a very low voice and hoping that the tom wouldn't over react. "There's a pretty clear path in front of us, and I don't see a single sign of a living thing anywhere near us, which must mean that the source of the wounded creature is pretty far off. I haven't seen hide nor hair of a fox or badger anywhere lately, and unless Wildblaze has found enough time to bury prey somewhere very close by, I think we're going to want to find him as soon as possible. He could be in danger." He had a serious frown on his face, his eyebrows drawn together in concern. He paused a brief, solemn minute, then drew a quick breath in, puffing out his chest and pricking his ears, straightening up, drawing back his head and taking a strolling step forward, staring towards the river.
"Then again," He mused ponderiously. "It could be nothing at all." He looked over his shoulder at Icetalon and smiled curiously.

Icetalon nodded slowly, trying to concentrate one what he was saying. He glanced around, feeling a bit nervous and worried about the looming threat; one in which he had no real knowledge on. He felt as if he were running into battle blind and a pricking irritation spiked his fur up. Icetalon stared into the depths of the forest, listening to the ominous sounds from the other creatures that resided here. He couldn't help the thought from creeping into his mind, What's out here that I don't know about? The thought chilled him from head to tail tip and he had to shift a bit on his paws.

Thornkit smiled before she slunk after him, her light brown eyes bright with excitement. She chased after Bloodpaw's tail out of camp. Her eyes grew round like an owl's as she stared around herself in awe and shock. "This place is wonderful!" She murmured softly.

Shrewpaw wasn't sure what to make of this talkative cat. Feeling slightly overwhelmed by the questions and not really sure what to do, the grey tom sat on his haunches slightly confused. He grinned mentally as he brought himself to his full height, and lashed his tail. This'll be fun! he thought gleefully. "Well now, wild cats you say? You mean the ones that eat bones and housecats for breakfast? Well there are a few of them out here, alright." He mewed and nodded solemly. "Oh yes, they live here alright kittypet. They're dangerous cats, with claws that could claw trees to pieces, and fangs that could snap through bone itself. A cat like you wouldn't want to be stuck here."

Bloodpaw nodded, sticking his head in. He pulled it, grinning, "The water feels good!" He purred, jumping in, then jumping out to shake his fur dry.

Spottedflower sighed, flexing her claws softly. She yawned a bit, really wanting to fight something, but was about to tell her leader about her wish to become an elder.

Thornkit watched Bloodpaw, before tentatively dabbing one paw into the water before quickly whipping it right out. She eyed the suspicous looking water before commenting. "Uh, how about I stay right here?" She mumbled. She didn't want to look like a scaredy cat in front of any cat, especially the cat who brought her out here.

"You're scared!" Bloodpaw teased, shaking his fur some more. Most of the water splat onto Thornkit, he laughing softly, "You can ride on my back if yoyu want," He chuckled softly, giving her a smile. He wasn't the kind of cat to be rude to she-cats and she-kits.

Thornkit 's fur puffed out in annoyance and she glared at Bloodpaw for a moment or two before sighing. Warily she placed one paw in the water before wading towards Bloodpaw and climbing on his back. "I'm not scared, just cautious. I've neevr been near this much water before..." She mumbled softly, while peering uncertainly at the water around them.

Bloodpaw chuckled, ignoring the amusing glare in her eye. He slowly padded in the water, making sure she wouldn't fall, "Oh, but doesn't mean be cautious! Water is good for your health!" He laughed, padding back and forth in the water.

"Health my tail!" Thornkit quiped as she watched fish swim around Bloodpaw's legs. They gleamed brightly and Thornkit found herself fascinated by them. Her tail swayed and lightly tapped Bloodpaw's flank. "Can you fish? "she asked, her light brown eyes trained on the water. One of her paws was rasied as she batted at them and then she stifled a squeal at how sleek and slick they felt.
