Tallfeather: He stopped and just stared. "What.. No Dawnclaw, I can't.." Tallfeather sighed, "How.. soon?"

Skyekit sat by herself a cold breeze came and made her shiver

"i know i've ruined everything for you and Duskpaw." Dawnclaw stared at her paws. "it will still be awhile."

Tallfeather: He sighed, "I.. believe it's time for you to find a new mate. One that will love you no matter what Dawnclaw. It would be wrong for me to.. bother the kits. They'll hate me either way."

"who will love me?" Dawnclaw flicked her tail. "i dont want the kits to grow up like me; fatherless and left with an unstable mother. please, dont leave them too." she looked at him with nothing but love and the pain of losing him.

Tallfeather: He looked away with drawn eyebrows. "I can't raise those kits with you Dawnclaw, I'm sorry. My heart is with Duskpaw now." Tallfeather looked over Dawnclaw's head, suddenly glad he was so much taller; as he didn't want to look her in the eyes. "You will find a mate Dawnclaw, you just need to put yourself out there. Someone will come for you, it's something you have to work for. Either way, you don't need to be in such a worry. You have time to find a mate before the kits are born." He glanced down at her.

Dawnclaw's gaze hardened. "its a good think your Duskpaw's now. i never knew you to be so cold." Dawnclaw's voice was hard and cold enough to be metallic. "maybe its a good thing you turned against, or i would have been blind. maybe you should have stayed a medicine cat." she spat and padded out of camp, her heart wrapped in thorns.
