Harkuru's body went back to looking like a corpse and his eyes went back to what they had been when he had passed on. Showing that his body seemed dead and that he was nothing but a meer ghost. He bared his fangs as he waited for the cat. Ready to end all the pain, the suffering it brought, and the desperate longing to die. Only the fact that he was basically immortal. Rejected by the spirits and forced to live a life of peace and happiness. He hated the thought of such a thing. Besides, he only saw himself as a murderous monster.

Denali hissed at three male cougars and they followed. He bared his fangs as the smell of the wolf was brought in on the wind.

Cherokee climbed onto the bank and followed the scent of Harkuru.

"What is that wolf up to now?" Balik wondered aloud.

The tiny lynx cub shivered as a cougars scream pierced the air after the howl.

Raven lifted her head and nuzzled the young cub trying to comfort it. She let out a sigh as she looked out of the den. "So he was alive after all..." She had said basically to herself but out loud. Harkuru continued to wait for the large cat and knew that it would have others following it. He had sensed the presence of the others not just Denali who was so eager to shed the blood of the wolf that broke its' paw.

Denali sent the others ahead and climbed to a lookout above the wolf. He settled down to watch the fight.

The bigger of the male cougars snarled as he spotted the brute. He hissed, showing his fangs, and circled the wolf.

Harkuru stood where he was, not even following the cat for he instad looked up and straight at Denali. He paid no attention to the cougars that circled him or eyed him. He didn't even care if they inflicted pain upon him for if he killed Denali, their lord, their king, their ruler, their higharchy, then the others would dispers and vannish fearing that they could be next to have their blood shed by the black wolf's fangs.

Riga shook himself and started walking around.

Wolfy grinned down at them. "When do you think they'll start talking?"

Denali smirked. "If you want to kill me, first you must fight them." He hissed.

The big male cougar circled and attacked as soon as the brutes attention was on Denali. His claws outstretched, raked the brutes pelt.

"I don't know. I hope soon." Tala said.

Balik looked down at his mates swollen belly. "When do you think the pups will come?" He asked.

Hala smiled and nuzzled Langa.

Harkuru stood his ground not taking his eyes off of Denali. The cougar was going to die before he gave up his life once more. He then thought of Cherokee and hoped that the foolish female wouldn't get in the way of anything. He swung his head around grabbing the male that attacked by the throat and swung him around before letting him go to have him hit his back against a thick tree. He then looked up at Denali with cold, dead eyes. "Denali, it is time for you to pay for your sins! Come meet your fate of death for I am the one to deliver you to the spirits." He stared up at the cat with piercing dead eyes. He did not wince when the pain shot through his side from where the other male had racked his claws.

"I'm not coming down there just yet pup." Denali said in a mocking tone.

The male cougar hissed as he hit the tree but got to his paws. He shook his pelt and snarled as he lept and sank his fangs into Harkuru's shoulder.

Harkuru glanced back at the male. A bit of pitty in his heart for it and the others controled by such a vile beast. "I have no time to be playing such childish games." He turned around spreading his jaws wide and sinking his teeth into the male's throat. He felt his jaws lock tight aroung it and could feel the trickle of blood that ran onto his tongue.
