Jay found today quiet. He meant to change that. A small smile spread on his face as he thought of his usual routine. Find a girl, scare her, bite her, throw her back out to spread horror stories to the other humans. Others could be a pain though. It was the ones that came outside all the time that annoyed Jay. Most of the time they were headstrong. He rolled his eyes and looked upwards. He had no idea why he did that. There was no point.

Clare walked lightly as she dodged though houses to get back to the house. It was a hard task to do in her clunky old leather boots. She made a mental note to find new ones and turn her old ones into a knife sheath or something. She could barely spot the house ahead, but paused to listen to the silence, or what she hoped would be silence.

Alex took a deep breath, glad to be getting some fresh air for once. She thrust her hands into her pockets, the soft silk lining warming her fingers as she walked.

"Cassandra.." He'd put the chain of the pendant around her neck, as the pendant fell to her chest. "I'm not going to take no for an answer." He let his hand trail down the chain, letting it all slide through his fingers, before it fell back to her chest. "Take it."

Cassandra looked at him, “Isley...thank you.” she said softly, fingering the necklace. She grabbed out her pocket watch and showed it to him, it was pure silver with a cross on the inside and a black clock face showed the date and time, “Take it, please.” she said, holding it out gently.

"Cassandra.. This is far too special to you for me to take.. I don't deserve something like this from you.." He told her, opening the pocket watch. SHutting it, as he handed it back to her. "Something so beautiful.. Only belongs with someone so beautiful.."

Cassandra smiled lightly, “And beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” she said, still holding out the watch, “You need something to protect you...” she thought a moment, “Here!” she exclaimed, reaching into another pocket (she had many pockets, two on the sides of her black long sleeve shirt, the normal ones on her skinny-jeans and extra pockets in the knees of her pants). She handed him a small green string, hanging from the string was a small piece of clay that looked like a bird, it was one of the things in the garden that kept vampires out. “It will make a small barrier around you that keeps out the evil hearted.” She pulled out hers, purple with a sea horse-shaped lump of clay, and put it on with the new necklace Isley had given her.

He'd slide his fingers along it, looking back up at her and into her eyes. "Cassandra.. Promise you will come back.."

Cassandra bit her lip, "I promise." she said, knowing it was not her choice to keep the promise or not, any day her brother, her father or anyone else could kill her, "I don't think anyone knows this but the only way a human can kill a vampire is to burn them...Only use it as a last resort though because they might escape and if they do you do not want to see a half burned angry vampire coming after you."
