My third rat... ugh. She had cancer, but had an early on tumor under her chin. We had to take a dropper with the medicane in it and force her to drink it. And then she spat it out all over me.
Sadly, she passed away last Monday. I was going to wait longer to get another rat, but Juliet was the prettiest rat I had ever seen, and the pet store wouldn't be getting anymore when I wanted to get one.

I'm sorry to hear that.
I promised myself I wasn't getting anymore rats, and then I fell in love with Annabell. I mean, she's the first rex rat I've ever seen in real life, and she's just plain beautiful.
When we went in today to take her to the vet, they had her sister up for adoption, I want her now too XD My mom said I couldn't have anymore rats though.

One of my rats is a black Irish double Rex!!
She's so cute, her ears are sooooo big!!
Guys, I need some help.
Sometimes when my rat wants to go somewhere, I pick her up gently and carry her over to a different place.
The point is when that happens she kinda vibrates and shakes, I need help, ASAP!!

hello^^
My rat died about 4-5 years ago, and I just got a new rat about a month ago or some weeks after loosing my wolfhound.
I'm not sure what kind of rat he is, but he looks like a fancy rat to me, but I am definitly no rat expert seeing as I've only owned two in my life and my first one didn't live in the house :B
But I am wondering if I could get some advice. My new rat, Rupert is weezing, and it's scary becuase I never heard a rat weeze before. And I'm not sure how long becuase I just got home and he looks not like himself.
Should I take him to the vet or is this one of those wait it out normal things D:

She has curly hair and an agouti capped. I have two mink (Berkshire, and Veriberk) and a little black berk. I've seen some cinnamon and such around here too.
Annies sister is a blue capped, and there was one that looked like my ryu that was a pretty sky blue color. They seem to become popular around our area lately, which is cool.
@orange.c y r u s♥: You need to take him to the vet, wheezing is never a good sign. I'm no expert, but it's probably something like a URI.

I looked up Rupert's sympthoms online and I think he has Mycoplasma.
And I know that it's one of those things where most rats if not all have it, but he's looking really bad. I don't know for sure, but to help him out a bit, I told my mom and cleaned Rupert's eye which was oozing something, with a wet clean rag and dried his nose. My dad's in the process of cleaning his cage since I read somehwere sometimes how dirty a cage is or the bedding can set off things in rats. He's still wheezing though, and it's a bit raspy, but from like a half an hour ago he sounds a little better.
