@Giggle: more? <3

“Caylie, come one, can’t you just get over this?”My best friend threw daggers at me through her eyes as she glared at me from the passenger seat and refused to say a word. I sighed as I tuned my attention back to the road and continued to drive. I knew her attitude wasn’t worth dwelling over.
Caylie and I had been practically sisters since we were four, and if there’s anyone who knew how to deal with her when she was pissed, it was me. I knew that deep down, she wasn’t really mad at me. What had started out as the innocent 17th birthday bash of a friend had soon turned into out-of-control, underage drinking pandemonium. Caylie had had one too many beers and though she protested and made a big scene, we both knew it was time to go. I, as the designated driver, hadn’t had anything stronger than Coke and had taken charge of the situation. Forcing a tipsy, upset Caylie into my car, I had driven away from the chaos.
“Cay, you know things would’ve gotten worse if we had stayed longer. Don’t be mad, I was protecting you from the consequences of getting drunk and doing something stupid.”Caylie snorted and turned away from the window to face me.
“I don’t need you to protect me.” she hissed.
“You’re not my mom.”I sighed again. How many times had I heard that one before? Too many too count.
“You know the rule, Cay. Come together, stay together, leave together.”But it was no use; she had settled back into a stony silence, glaring out the window into the darkness of the night. She rolled down her window and closed her eyes as the freezing cold air blew through the car. I reached over and closed it. Her eyes flew open.
“Do you mind?” She rolled it down again and I rolled it back up, this time using the master controller on my side of the car.
“Oh please, Cay, spare me. It’s 40 degrees, I’m not letting you get both of us sick.”“Thanks, but I can take care of myself. No one asked for you opinion.” She rolled the window back down.
I rolled it back up and gritted my teeth, slowly becoming irritated.
She started to roll it down again and I reached over, slapping her hand hardly to get it away from the controller.
“What the hell!” she shrieked at me, roughly shoving me away and grabbing my arm to restrain me.
“Caylie, stop it!”I took my eyes away from the road for two seconds to pull my arm out of her grasp.
Unfortunately, it was two seconds too late.

[hopefully some of you remember this. I posted it ages ago with promises to continue but...oh well. Trying again to stay motivated and finish it. I actually already have a second and third part written, but...well, you guys can be the judge <3]
