Sebastian watched as the woman walked over and shot a spell at the spider, causing it to retreat flames chasing it to it's barrow. "I had it handled." He said angrily wiping the sweat from his brow. "Why didn't I think of that..." He muttered under his breath. "Spiders hate fire, I can use magic. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid." He looked up to see the woman staring at him. He froze then said. "Thank you. I'm Sebastian."

“
When you are born,” the golem said
softly, “your courage is new and clean.
You are brave enough for anything:
crawling off of staircases, saying your
first words without fearing that someone
will think you are foolish, putting strange
things in your mouth. But as you get
older, your courage attracts gunk, and
crusty things, and dirt, and fear, and
knowing how bad things can get and
what pain feels like. By the time you’re
half-grown, your courage barely moves
at all, it’s so grunged up with living. So
every once in awhile, you have to scrub
it up and get the works going, or else
you’ll never be brave again.

Sebastian looked at her curiously. "I was looking for a place to rest and forgot how close the Barrens are to the forest." He said simply. He looked down at the fish in his hand, hesitated, then grabbed the biggest one and held it out to her. "Here." he said. "I wouldn't be able to eat these if you hadn't helped me so take it."

"Aisha?" He said questioningly. "You mean the woman who lives in that house back there?" He gestured behind him. "Well she seems a bit busy with another visitor but thank you anyway." He paused considering what he was going to say next. "Your a witch correct?"

"Oh I was just curious." He rubbed the back of his neck self-consciously. "It's just....." He paused and then blurted out in a rush. "MyadoptedfatherwasawizardandIwaswonderingifyouknewhim......" He faded off a bit and looked at the ground in embarassment. "His name was Cornelius, he lived where the forest meets the river. Right on the edge of the forest." He could tell that she was getting restless with the conversation so he said. "It's okay though, I mean... Nevermind."
