"Ah." Maverick said, nodding. "I've lived here my whole life. Family never felt the need to move anywhere else. Not that I see much of them anymore--they're at work all of the time!" He said with the laugh. Of course, he was lying--his parents had died of old age long ago and he had run away as soon as he had become a vampire. But he wasn't about to tell anyone that.
