Brisk suddenly looked up at Adara with eyes filled with old grief "Adara, they died in a battle shortly after I was born. I...I don't remember them at all."

Adara felt her heart twist and scream at the story. "Oh Brisk. I'm sorry. I should ever have brought it up." She looked at the little wolf pup curiously. "But you didn't die. Who fed you?" She asked.

Brisk thought hard for a moment. "I don't remember that either. But you could ask maybe, or I don't know. I don't really remember who fed me.... but I don't know how much it matters." she rubbed against Adara again. "but at least I have you."

Adara felt happy that Brisk enjoyed her company. A thought occured to Adara. "Do you sleep in a den alone? It could get really cold in winter and you're still a pup"

"Yeah, pretty much. I didn't think about winter. I didn't know winter was cold!"

Adara nodded. "Up here, we get snow that piles high enough to block some lower entrances. Probably like yours and mine. I don't think you would be able to dig yourself out by then.
