So in the new HM game (just released in japan) they made it so that you can totally restyle your avatar, even unlocking the alternate genders styles later in the game. I think this was japans compromise for the requests for same gender relations. So if you want to marry a girl, as a girl, play as a guy and later in the game just dress as a girl, and vice verse for marrying a guy as a guy. Also, since you can change your looks at any time, you can change back and forth when you want! XD

It's about time they did this, HM DS Cute tried to with the best friend system which got totally removed once it hit US soil -_-
