My mom is heavily against me reading them because she doesn't like them.

I did start the first book however and I was part of this club about Harry Potter once, but the club died and I never finished the first book because it was extremely slow paced and boring compared to some of the other books I had been reading. I was always going to give it a second try, I just never got around to it. xD And now I've been reading books about people who have mental disablities and physical disorders (I guess that's what you could call them...things like Cancer and stuff...don't know what to classify those as

) so they just haven't been on my high priority list lately. I'll get around to them eventually...like this summer or something...When I'm reading like 3 books a day because I have nothing better to do. xD
I highly suggest you give Harry Potter another go-round, when you get the chance... I know it's not for everyone, but those books are some of my absolute favorites!
If you're interested in books about disorders and stuff, I suggest Mockingbird (a very good book about a girl with asperger's syndrome), or The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (a very good book about a boy, also with asperger's syndrome). Although, I must warn you, if you read the latter, you'll have the ending to The Hounds of the Baskervilles spoiled for you. x( Guess I'm never reading that book... (and I was planning to, too!)
edit: I just looked it up, and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime isn't actually specifically about Asperger's- it's not that precise. Just know that it's a sort of autism. xD Anymawho, it's a great read.
Hm....Maybe I'll try them out.

*And my booklist of soon to read books grows longer*

Just finished the 3rd Percy Jackson book and halfway done with the fourth! Loving them!
I am seriously considering quitting. I have so many issues going on right now I don't have time to be on here. Please remove me from any RPs.

I personally liked the first and second the best. The third was... I don't know. It had a different feel to it. Like they weren't fighting for their lives anymore. Even though they were still in a lot of danger, it wasn't the adrenaline rush the first two gave me.

I feel the exact same way.

I really liked all three of the Hunger Games books. They were well written, full of energy, and interesting all at the same time. I absolutely loved the clock arena, it was terribly creative! I have so much to say, but typing here on my phone is annoying.
Starbase Typhon is a roleplay run by me, off site. It is Star Trek based (but not the new movies, as you will see) and it definetly needs people who are willing to be active, write with great grammar, and of course, are semi-literate or above. Format is play by Nova, which involves multi-person posts that are a different way of doing things that here of CS. But it's lots of fun, and we need long term people who will help us complete our missions. As the commanding officer of Typhon, I invite anyone who would like to give it a try to please apply! (Warning that quality of applications is strictly judged. Very strictly judged.) The link is in the image.
