Jay
Jay walked over to the mare again and patted her back. Grabbing a brush, he cleaned her coat. The mare was still while he tacked her. Then he grabbed his equipment and mounted her carefully, in order of not scaring her. She happily obeyed as walked her towards Laura and Fern.

Humble Glory
As quickly as she saw his hand on the brush she stood still, letting herself be tacked and prepared for riding. As he asked her to walk with a light, almost un-touching kick on her side she obeyed, excited about being ridden.

Laura turned and flashed Jay a grin, turning Bobby to face them. She used only light pressure on the reins as she knew how soft and tender a horse's mouth was. Also she never used a whip, which was why the only thing in her hands were the long reins.

Bobby pricked his ears forwards, but then flicked one back to show he was listening to Laura's physical aids.

He smiled back at Laura as he made his way over.

Humble Glory
She neighed happily at the sigh of other horses.

Laura fiddled with Bobby's mane, then shortened her reins slightly, feeling embarrassed that he might think she was out of control of Bobby.

Bobby snorted in protest, and tossed his head until she lengthened them once more.

Jay
He smiled and sat straighter, ready to go outside. He was still a little nervous. Everyone here could be watching his method, and his composure, knowledge, and what he might know about this.

Humble Glory
She walked over to where Laura and Bobby where, and stood still, waiting for instructions.

Bobby blew out of his nostrils at her, his ears flicking back and forth.

Laura smiled and sat up a little more. She had done a fair bit of trail riding with her friends, but they had been joking around. This was serious. Everyone would be judging her now.

Jay
"So...?" He didn't know what now.

Humble Glory
She shook her head, ready to go outside.

[Brightpaw]

"How long have you been riding?" Laura asked him, meeting his eyes for the first time.

Bobby sighed.

Jay
"About 12 yrs." He said. "You?"

She nudged Bobby playfully.

[Brightpaw]

"All my life. I was a home birth and my mum went into labour in our stables." Oceane said with a happy smile.

Bobby nudged her back.
